Back in GT5, I used to use the Top Gear Test Track as my test track of choice. But since it's gone, I decided to pick a different one for GT6. I wanted one that wasn't terribly long (like the Nordschleife is), actually exists, and features both high speed and lower speed sections. I decided the Nürburgring Grand Prix course (GP/F in GT6) would work well for this, and it's a track I rather enjoy driving anyway.
On the off chance anyone would find it interesting, I've decided to share my test data.
Here's my test data, currently with 68 cars. The abbreviated list (without car type, PP, and non-default settings data) is here:
As for my driving ability... well, it's decent, but nothing spectacular. I can typically get the gold time on seasonals in a few attempts, but I'm never anywhere near the top 200 even on my best days (or even the top two thousand, honestly!). So take my data with a grain of salt—I'm definitely no Stig. This is especially evident on high-power RWD cars or older RWD cars, where I know I'm really not getting the most out of them. (The worst example of which would be that I could barely get a valid lap out of the RUF BTR, much less a good one.)
I also did some testing of race cars at the Red Bull Ring, but not nearly as much (only 21 cars).
It's not quite as extensive as @SuzukaStar's tests, but it's something!
At some point, I'd like to look at which cars are "punching above their weight" (i.e., getting times well above what their PP would suggest they ought to), but I'm not sure yet how exactly I'd like to go about calculating that.
