nascar 06 total team control

hello. I have a question for ps2 owners and have nascar 06: total team control. I have a total of 3 controllers, 2 regular, and 1 that is wireless. In real life, do the cars move to the right or left when they let off the gas, or downshift, like on a road course, or is it my controller?
