+1 again, active stability slows you down so much, I went from coming 4th after 2 laps of the first advanced race to coming first before the end of the 1st lap. The rest was easy (except for dodging the much slower cars that still have it turned on...)

i left it stock.

i havent done the advanced yet ..

but the intermediates i golded pretty fast.

all you gotta do is to make sure you hit the brake at the appropriate time right in the beginning of the bank. IF you do it right. You only have to keep the throttle half way and towards the middle of the apex .. full throttle.

(yes i did this with the controller)

its all in the braking right in the beginning of the bank !

i dont do any better even with all these tips. The braking doesnt help either, the car keeps on swerving and moving up and down through the corner, slowing it down.

Are you playing with a controller or a wheel? I couldn't gold quite a few of them with a controller. Picked up a DFGT and got gold 1st attempt on most of the ones I couldn't with the controller.

you have to turn ABS off for the advanced ones around Daytona because it makes the stability thing kick in and you can't go fast around the corners

Make sure to turn of ABS as well! I don't really understand why this slows you down on a track that you don't use the brakes, but I could not even get bronze on the last event. After turning off ABS, I got gold the first try.

Here is my top tips:

~ Dont try and get to the front ASAP. Draft and let the car do the work. Then pick your spot and go for it.
~ I Recommend turning EVERYTHING off. Having said that I won all gold through out with 1 ABS.
~ If you lose the draft, fall back. Other cars can bump you to speed or pull out infront letting you take their draft.
~ The Indy GWC race I found out to be deadly. Any touch of the cars gave a disqualification. This is where tip #1 comes in best.

I was having real trouble with the advanced ones, but taking your advice of turning off ALL aids really helped me, I shall try this in license tests too! Thanks!
