I'm a major a fan of Nascar watching the Sprint Cup Series since 2006. I'd like to raise some of these issues in Gran Turismo 5.
1) Paint Jobs
PD didn't release multiple paint jobs for the 2010 COT (stands for Car of Tomorrow) Nascar. i.e. Kyle Busch's Interstate Batteries and Pedigree Dogs.
Even, if they couldn't afford rights with other sponsors, why couldn't they have done different same sponsor schemes such as the Denny Hamlin's FedEx Kinko's version?
2) Daytona Track
As you may have already realised, the track has been repaved last year. It appears to be much more grippy and smoother.
I think PD should release this new surface with an Option of New / Old Surfaces of Daytona.
What do you make of this?
Having watched the Daytona 500, its quite obvious that the style of racing has changed hugely. Yes, there still is a pack of cars but there are now 2 Car Tandems where 2 Cars surge away reaching speed of 200+ mph (obviously with a restrictor plate)
Should PD design a new patch creating such a game mode?
3) Damage
Nascars are PREMIUM and this should be reflected in their damage. For sure, its superficial but that is it. You only need to type in on Youtube, 'Nascar 2010 crash' to realise that cars crumple much more.
Why hasn't PD done damage modelling to this extreme as Rally Cars have?
4) B-Spec Remote Racing
Remote races are great. I truly mean that but the Nascar Racing on Indianapolis and Daytona don't have a true Nascar race of either the 2011 huge pack draft or the 2010 2 car draft. You could argue driver level has a bearing but in real life, there is no such thing as you would only need to watch last sunday's Nascar race to see a rookie, Trevor Bayne win.
How can this game go by calling it the Real Driving Simulator when you can see such massive flaws in its latest series introduction.
