That clip is funny in so many ways. The car he destroyed there was supposed to be the HKS entry for the first D1GP... they ended building the red car everyone knows of now.

The first one... considering how the Japanese generally build their rollcages, I don't give much on the guy's condition.

He miss-judged it and was unlucky with the consequences,

I doubt if you saw someone go off in any other type of race you would be so cynical.

He made a mistake, big deal. Race drivers do that more often than you would think.

I agree, they all swing wide to get large angle for that first corner, he just went to wide, a simple mistake that cost him.

Nice! I like how the air bag deployed... I have a feeling his steering gave out on that one like in that red HKS Silvia.
