Need for Speed 2014

How about they bring back tournament mode as it was in HP(PS1), High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed, and Hot Pursuit(PS2). Eliminate this autolog bullcrap and resurrect the original roots of what made an NFS game, a Need For Speed game.

Because Need for Speed always has the latest Lamborghinis, I'm expecting that the 2014 NFS game will include the new Huracàn LP610-4, the replacement for the Gallardo.

Rivals 2? Hopefully it won't be as bad as the more recent NFSs. I think ever since the Midnight Club series stopped, they've been slacking a lot.

But the free roaming adds a calmer aspect to the game.

From a selfish point-of-view, free-roaming has made it virtually impossible to just start up a lobby and do strictly races or whatever organized events from past games. That's all I really cared about over time.

What we want from NFS 2014, a real competitive racer like The Crew that doesn't have drifting and crashing. However, we will probably get this... :/

I can't say how much I would love EA to return to the Underground series.

Ideally, you would start from from small hatchback (Ford Focus, Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa etc.) and work your way up through imports (Supra's, Skylines, Impreza's) all the way up to exotic supercars. Then they could nick some customization features from Underground 2, take Carbon's Autosculpt feature and run it on the Frostbite 3 engine.

Who wouldn't want that? :D

In reality though, we'll probably just get another drift-happy, police infested hypercar game with corny voice-over's which we've already seen a lot of recently :(.

i hope they skip 2014 and just add DLC for Rivals. I'd like them to spend 2 years on an nfs underground reboot for 2015. I dont want EA to turn Ghost into factory like Activision does with COD.

Unfortunately that isn't going to happen because I heard that car manufactures no longer wants EA having cars be modified. Heck even if they make a Underground 3, they are probably going to screw it up like they did with Most Wanted 2012. Not having anything to do with Most Wanted 2005, no customization. I don't mind if there isn't going to be customization because I believe we had a few good NFS games in the past that didn't have car customization like High Stakes and Hot Pursuit 2, but treating a new NFS MW sequel like a totally new game without any of the features the original had or not having anything to do with the original is just lame.

The only thing that NFS MW 2012 had that actually felt like NFS MW 2005 was the BMW M3 GTR which was part of some DLC Pack and if I can remember correctly, it had the blacklist.

I think Critireon did this just to make more money thinking that naming a new NFS game after a NFS game that is a fan favorite would get more people to buy the product without knowing that it has nothing to do with the original.
