I think they are going for a Chinese orientated cast.unless they bring the old cast back, i don't think i'm interested in seeing this. I just don't see the appeal of the races taking place in China
Oh well, i think i'm gonna skip this. It's Initial D movie all over again.I think they are going for a Chinese orientated cast.
I second this.Oh well, i think i'm gonna skip this. It's Initial D movie all over again.
I don't know how it did in the US but it seems to do well internationally, especially China, which is why they decided to do the sequel there. How well did the first movie do at the box office anyways?
It got pretty good reviews and stuff in China.I don't know how it did in the US but it seems to do well internationally, especially China, which is why they decided to do the sequel there.

While critics in China apparantly loved it.It took just over $43.5 million total in the US box office, although it was slated by critics.
Well that's probably why they started focus on the market in China with Chinese oriented casts. While critics in China apparantly loved it.
This could be an interesting setup. With the tight streets and high amount of pedestrians, that would be interestingNFS in China doesn't sound too bad in my opinion. China has a lot of good/interesting locales they could use. Although the companies working on it (China Movie Channel Program Center, Jiaflix Enterprises and 1905 Pictures) don't sound to promising.

I feel they are more than capable of putting a good film together with a decent budget. Production companies have to start somewhere and someone should give them a shot. DMG, a Chinese production company, for example was involved with Looper, Iron Man 3 and Transcendence.
As for China as a locale I think it's an excellent idea, it has a huge untapped car culture a film could explore. Ignorance is why we see so many films and even videogames like GTA being set in the same places again and again out of fear people won't be able to relate to it. It's the same reason some didn't 'get' FF3 just because it was Tokyo.
Exactly, put it somewhere with a hidden car culture, boosts that places car culture by 100000000%Tokyo is still relatable because of the car culture imo. China ? I don't know....
