...yet again. I've always done that. However, I simply don't want to do it this time. I want to buy it and use it, no fiddling around with stuff.

A local retailer, Boulanger, is selling one built by ASUS.

Intel Core i5 2320, 8,0 GB RAM (DDR3, 1333), GeForce GT530 2GB

I haven't done much computer work recently, aside from repairing and soldering stuff for friends. Would the linked rig be good enough for current racing games like F1 2011 etc.? I'm completely outdated when it comes to components...I'm ashamed to ask such questions, actually. :P

However, if anyone can come up with a cheaper solution: tell me more. I could maybe even motivate me to build my own rig...depends on how much I can save. :P

For $905 you can definitely build something cheaper, and with a better video card.

The 7000-series launches within the next week or so... In fact, I think some re/e-tailers already have the 7970 ($500-something; definitely don't want that), so if you wanna wait and see how much that (7950, 7770, etc) and the rest of the at-launch 7000-series cards go for then you can do that, or you can do that or just spring for a 6000 or GTX 500-series now.

I'll wait another 1 or 2 months anyway, so I'm merely playing "what if" right now. :)

I'd slap something together for you but the final price won't be indicative of what you'd actually pay, even after being converted to the proper currency. :indiff:

I can suggest components and leave the prices absent?

Alright, so here's the current rundown. I've yet to read up on LGA 2011, hence the reason I'm not suggesting it.

MSI Z68A-GD80 (G3)

Core i5 2500k

(Just placeholders, really. Like I said... I haven't read up on 2011 yet and I won't recommend something I'm unfamiliar with).

G.Skill Sniper 8GB DDR3-2133

Corsair Carbide 400R

Corsair GS800 800W

[Insert video card here]

Thermaltake Frio

Optical drives, sound cards (if you want one), and plug n' play devices I'll leave to your own tastes.

ASUS VH232H 23' LCD Monitor

Myeah, I think so, but you'd want this to be a cheap, sub-1000 bucks thing you'll throw out in 2-3 years, otherwise keep looking, I think eBay would be a good place to look, as well to get an idea for the part prices of a fully built system (once you find one).
