Finally got my hands on this yesterday afternoon. And while I've only been able to spend a couple of hours with it so far, it's easily the most fun I've had with a game in a while. Definitely see what all the hype has been about. Doubt I'll playing much else for long while.

I was doing some figure 8 racing, and a few hits by AI divebombing me dropped me from second to 21st. I started getting annoyed, but then I looked at my Escort, all crumpled and deformed, still buzzing around the track, and it was so hilarious I couldn’t help laughing. This is such a cheerful, fun game.

Since I got it at launch it's all I played.

So I broke down and bought the season pass. But I can’t download any content. And yes I’ve restored licenses and all that Jazz. On ps 4 btw anyone else have this issue

The content may have already downloaded and installed when you had next booted up the PS4 and/or game. I had the Deluxe version and that was my experience. Check your garage and see if they are not already there.
Otherwise go to your Library: Purchased Games: Add ons and see if not there waiting to be installed. When I did that prior I saw them there and clicked "Download or Install or whatever", clicked on the button and thought it wasn't installing/adding either but when I checked my Garage I saw the items there.

That Red Dirt track nice eh? I've gotten quite fond of it.

BTW, you're racing against AI in Expert mode aren't you? Those AI drivers were vicious.
Not remember the difficulty but have a lot of fun haha

hope soon get the platinum trophy

Is there any voice chat on the PS4 version of this? I never hear anyone, I assume the feature doesn't exist. I would expect to hear some trash talking.

Finally tried online racing last night. I did about eight races. I got two seconds and a first. It was more fun than I thought. My win came on Bonebreaker Valley. The field was full of mostly regular cars except for someone in a bus. It was clear the bus driver wasn't worried about anything other than wrecking as many cars as possible. I was fortunate and managed to avoid the bus, although I did take a head on hit in the middle of the race. The funny thing was even when I was coming in 15th of 16, I was still having fun. My only complaint is how hard it is to change cars between races on my XBox. I get to the garage screen, scroll to the car I want, press A, nothing, press A again, still nothing. A, A, AAAAAAAAA, screen returns to the start of the next race and I'm still in the same car.

This also happens regularly on PC.

No big deal for me though as me and my friends only race in private lobbies. I get that consoles are more restricted to options, and thats unfortunate.

Yes there's a solution to this. When you scroll to the car you want to change to you have to wait until it loads in, so it's actually visible. Then hit A or X on PS4 and you can select it.

I do wait until the car loads, but I still only get the car about one in four times.

Am I the only one annoyed by limos in multiplayer? How come they're not treated as special vehicles? They're pretty much used only by crashers and you can't avoid them on tracks that are very narrow, very short or have figure 8 shape. Obviously I wasn't expecting everyone to drive fair (more or less) in a game called Wreckfest, but it's a different case when you're blocking the track or going in the opposite direction.

I don't care that the game is named Wreckfest or that it's all about door-to-door racing. After one evening playing a few online races, crap like that is why I am even less interested in playing Wreckfest online than I typically am with anything else (to clarify: not especially interested).

I don't think the deformation and collision physics are an excuse to throw all etiquette out the window. They can add enough amusement to already typical online racing etiquette.

Limos are just lumbering beasts. I just grab an upgraded normal car, pass them, & leave them in the dust.
Yes leaving them behind works for most tracks, but unfortunately not for the shorter ones. I've even witnessed how some players changed to limos from "normal" cars on purpose to cause more havoc when an oval or a figure 8 race came up. The devs should really think about adding another modifier allowing for banning limousines in addition to special vehicles.
