Cool!

With all eyes on the Ford Mondeo wagon concept, many observers wondered if we wouldn't get to see a sedan version until a future auto show. The speculation can end, because some quick thinking photographers caught the Mondeo sedan at what appears to be a photo shoot. We suspect the vehicle might a production Mondeo, rather than a concept. This is because the sedan has a less dramatic front apron than the wagon concept, amber indicators on the front fender and in the headlights, wheels with a less polished finish, and no LED cluster beside the headlamps. Ford may have been preparing press photos for the car, with plans to release them shortly after the Paris Motor Show.

Well damn, look at how the Contour grew up back at home! See Ford, this COULD be something cool to have here in the US...

They just had to steal wheels of a Gallardo.....Other than that, that is pretty sweet looking. Needs to be rwd though.

yeah looks nout like the iosis though. well. a bit.

nice for a family car

My friends focus has those rims. Sure makes the fords look a heck of alot better. Shame its a bit of a rip-off though. Bet lambo owners aint happy.

They stole the horizontal body crease from a Acura TL (aka Euro accord).
The Euro Accord is the same as the US Acura TSX, not the TL. I don't think Europe gets a version of our TL.

But regardless, I couldn't agree more. The way the side marker light blends into the upper body-crease, and then flows down the side of the body is very TL-ish. And, the way the lower side skirt and body crease are shaped as well have some TL-ish feel.

But, this all is fine with me. I think the Acura TL is a great looking sedan, so getting some styling cues from that is a great start. And, the rest of this car looks great. Sure, its just a plain old sedan. But, for what it is, its a great looking one. I like it.

Those rims do look a little like what Lambo uses on the Gallardo. But the Lambo wheels, as well as these Mondeo wheels, look to me almost like an evolution of the normal wheels the X5 first shipped with back in the day. More of an evolution on that design. And, I'm sure, someone had something similar to that even before BMW used it as well. Wheel designs are always just a somewhat recycled design updated to look fresh.

They are the Focus ST wheels and they used a simmilar design on the S-Max don't they. Wait is it C-Max or S-max god knows but for an MPV that car (mpv) is good looking for an mpv.

Also the mondeo looks like it's following the new focus body shape which is pretty good I suppose. Oh man I forgot i've still got pictures of the focus Convertable Coupe thing from the motorshow somewhere that I took god I should update that thread.

I don't see any way a Mondeo could be RWD, although it'd be great if they were. Sheesh, my Mondeo is freakin' heavy for a FWD and I always have to keep the revs up, since it's a 1.8 125hp engine.

But then again, the new Focus S-Max (or whatever model Race Idiot said) looks pretty much like the Mondeo size-wise. Maybe this one will be called Focus M-Max or something.

I see a serious identity crisis in this car. I mean I see hints of cars from all over the world. It's not bad looking, but I think I liked the current one better.

Looks good IMO.

With looks like this it shouldn't be so boring to drive now I think.

Don't really like the shortish boot/rear overhang though:

Looking kinda like the Mazda 6, but just not working with the longer wheel base.

Looks good from the front though. 👍

I can tell you the actual one (or at least the 2001 one) isn't boring at all to drive. It responds quite well, accelerates fast and corners as good as a FWD of that size should.

...Well it certainly would be better than our current Mazda 6, I mean FUSION, here in the US...

Front is looking good with the Iosis concept's lines...

Side-profile is looking fair with the buffed guards...

But the rear is just not working. The overhang design does not go well with the long wheelbase.

And as for the wheels, running 19's or 20's could help.
