Nurburgring full lap: real life vs. GT4 movie (*update: GT3 vs GT4 on trial mountain)

hello

this film shows full lap on nurburgring in falken nissan skyline r34 (GT4) vs. nissan skyline r34 tuned by nismo (real life). both of them have silmilar power (about 500ps). please, check it out and tell me what do u think..personally i was amazed how excactly the track has been recreated in game (even some trees look the same and are in right place). it took me about 3 days to make this film, it has about 85mb and was compressed with divx.

well..what do u mean by '56k friendly version'? it should be smaller than 30mb, 10mb..5mb? :) this film has almost 9 minutes, if i compress it too much, u won't see anything :/
try to download it, the largest file i've managed to download with 56k modem had almost 100mb :)

yup, it was quite difficult and annoying, now i see that some parts could have been made better..but overall..i hope it isn't that bad :)

Yes it's very nice video, but I am a bit dissapointed with Trial Mountain, it looks unfinished. Can it be fixed in PAL, maby...? The graphics look like in GT2, with no cool effects here and there. :(

well, i don't have full version of gt, it's a tgs2004 demo with removed timelimit. so it may look better in full ver.
 
The guys in the office that I showed the video to are all amazed at how well the treeline in-game matches the real-life treeline. Sure, individual tree shapes differ, but the overall shape is really similar.

And when you're looking at the treeline to see differences... dang, that's close.

i wrote to gtplanet (as it is said in Uploading Your Pictures & Videos thread - "If you have an exceptional or very unique video(...)"), but no response - so maybe it isn't good enough ;] and there are already some films showing nurburgring track in the videos section..

anyway, treeline is very similiar to the real one, and also some trees look almost the same - chceck out 2:46 (big tree on the left) and 7:19 ('lonely' tree on the right side).
u can also see (or feel:) that bumps and 'irregularities' of the road (i don't know how to call it in english:) are almost the same in GT4, and check out the writings on the road - some of them are the same:)
