uh i wish to reiterate my point that the camaro shouldnt be on there. it is the chevy version of the mustang. it was built by chevy in response to the tremendous success of the mustang and chevy had nothing to compete with it. thats like takin a jeep wrangler over the old landrover. the camaro is incredibly cool dont think that im anti chevy or anything but its just a copycat. thats my 2 cents again.

Where can you go wrong? how can something so small kick so much ass? I try almost everyday to convince my friends the cornering speed you can hold in a Mini...when will they learn you dont need 2 tonnes worth of useless Holden to go fast?

All of the cars in this poll, are nominated by member of GTP. I didn't actually nominate any of them, and it isn't a list created by me. So the Maxima (which I was extremly releuctan t to put in) was put in any way, because it was nominated.

BTW to all mods, is there any chance you could put in another option for the poll. Milefile has put in a last minute nomination, and it seems a worthy one with a good reason 👍.

Edit: I won't be able to get it sorted for tonight, or in the next couple of days, as I'm going out now, and pretty much busy until thursday. Sods milefile.

About that comment in the Wee Man quote, it says the Corvette beats Ferrari consistentley, I think I'm right in assuming your referring to the race cars, cos the road cars don't come close exept for the Z06 whisch is faster in 0-60 than alot of them but it doesn't go round a track as fast, the 360 Stradale beats it's lap at I think it was Hockenheim by 3 seconds. Then again the Corvette hasn't competed against Ferrari in racing for that long has it?

To GT4: Doesn't really matter for what reason the car was made, the competition is asking about what we think is the BEST CAR ever (not the BEST REASON for it being built)

Yes, I was specifically referring to racing. And sure a 360 can beat a z06 around the track....but then again, for the price, you can buy 2 z06s and a mustang/civic for your child. Costerformance ratio, its practically unbeatable.

I gave my vote to AC Cobra. Shelby Cobra 427 is one of the greatest car in my opinion. Over 7-litre V8-engine producing brutal power, convertible body, side exhaust and about 1000kg dry weight is a wonderful combination. Shelby Cobra 427 can do over 300km/h with tranny which got longer gear ratios than the original, even it's made in the 1960's! Think about that!

It can still out perform and looks better than a lot of other cars today around on the road. For it's time it was perfect. It had a great handling chassis with a big and powerful V8 engine. Great combination British chassis work with American muscle. And for many years it was the fastest stock 1/4 car in road and track, even quicker than the Ford GT40 (be it in road and track tests).
Just my further 2 cents.

Edit: and shob I completly agree with you. I'd take a Vette any day over a Ferrari.
