One Nasty Small Block Twin Turbo

http://fasttrackperformance.com/page5/Chow movie files/ChrisTTGN.wmv

Small Block Chevy Twin Turbo in an 87 Grand National smoking the tires on the dyno, only god knows how much power it would put out if he didnt spin the tires.
The car currently runs 8.5's on 15 psi. He says hes going to up the boost to 30 psi at the track the next time he goes.

I've seen these cars do some crazy wheelies. I also saw one of these at a car museum. One was just a normal black one and another was a greyish one(I think)and they only made 16 of them. Forgot how much they were selling for though.

Just downloaded the video and that car sounds very nice. I like when it starts up.

He should probably get traction before he adds more power....

god, that is stupid  in a good sense, I mean. I cant even imagine how much power that thing could do.

Cano

I read it's capable of around 1800hp!

It already has, what, 1076hp and burns slicks on the dyno? It's going to need some much wider slicks before he even considers dyno-ing it with 1800hp.:P

I've seen the one where he launches from and pop's a massive wheelie and ends up backing off, but it sure does sound sweet.

It sort of looks bad with the Turbos sticking out of the hood, but I wouldn't mind with that much power...

I do. I would personally want to drive around a 11 second eye catcher as compared to a 10 second pile of fung monkey crap that makes you want to cover your ears. It's bad ass yeah, i love the car to death, but I'd never build it to be that much of an eye sore.

Your 11 second eye cather which you put all your money into will be a pile of fung monkey crap that makes you want to cover your ears in 10 years. Then what? Take it all out and put it in a new car? No.

But I agree, I'd much rather have an SRT-4 than that ugly ass POS int he video. ;)

But just think about it, the twin turbos have direct air flow, no tubes, not a thing. Only thing is there's no filter and if something were to fly up in there, there would be a lot of money lost in an instance. Also the hood seems to be just cut out for the turbos with metal shears.

I just have to say 1 thing about the appearance of this car... Performance first, looks last. I'm sure they would probably dress it up real nice after they tune it right.

I'd like to race it, I know it'd beat me, but I'd love to see it race first hand, so that doesn't apply. And I will complain about how it looks. because there are other 8 second cars out there that don't look quite as...What's the word....Ugly

You build your race car and after you have gone through all the trouble of making it fast and fixing problems, you really dont give 2 $H!tS about how it looks.
Even in my car, iv spent alot of money on this car on motor and trans and it doesnt run like it should. But when it runs low 11's when im finished im sure theirs ganna be even more dents then the ones i have now,,, but when someone makes fun of the dents and scratches i can still smile that i can more than likely blow their doors off at the track and go home with the AC on.

Your right, you can blow their doors off at the track, and drive home with the AC on. But it's still ugly, your car can run negative times in the 1/4 mile, that doesn't change how it looks. It looks like crap. IT's a fast piece of crap.

WOW your a real ricer. I found a Video just for you. It will be posted.

Its funny how people make fun of other peoples cars when they drive a wussy toyota.
My lug nuts require more torque than your car can make.
