"Penny Arcade" avatars?

I don't know if that's what their called or not. I'm referring to the little caricatures that Josh, Y2TUSCAN, and several others are using. I really like the style of them.

Where do they come from? Is somebody custom-making them for people, or are they characters from a comic or something?

I'd love to get one for myself. Somebody let me know, please? Thanks.

I did a few a while back as well. They're in the big GTP library and on my site, which you probably can't get to so I won't bother linking.

Too bad your avatars are 65x65 Loud, all 650 of them!

I made them before Jordan upped the size to 100 x 100. Oh well!

I don't really care what size my avatar is...as long as its not too small. My Chibi-Chan Avatars are like 90x70 which I'm happy with.
