They did the same with PS4, so I doubt this initiative stems from a “disaster”.Starting to spend the marketing reserves after the disastrous PS5 Pro announcement... In this limited edition sounds sooo much more appealing. As long as they don't charge even more for it.
The original form and function was timeless, elegant and focused, no motorized disc loading to break, etc.I think PlayStation 5 sales would improve if this was a permanent colour option.
Sad but true."Sony to launch SKUs to cover scalper's salaries for the remainder of the year."
Yeah they did it for the 20th anniversary. I had the grey controller, was a very attractive pad. They did the same with PS4, so I doubt this initiative stems from a “disaster”.

PlayStation to Launch Limited Edition 30th Anniversary Consoles and Controllers
PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary celebrations are kicking up a notch as it has revealed a special, limited edition range of consoles and controllers leaning into the original console’s aesthetics...
That wouldn't be hard.Best looking PS5 to date.
Hmm yes, my brain is thinking exactly along those lines too. Plus I'd get an Edge controller as well (again not something I'd normally upgrade to). Could indeed be a stroke of marketing genius. 🙂ergo I should buy the cool retro-looking PS5 Pro and kill two birds with one stone.
Need the whole set - once you go grey there's no other way.
Nostalgia is a terrible thing for my bank balance.
