Pole Position?

Does anyone know how to get the pole position or improve your starting position? Sometimes it gives you the pole in a championship race but then by the third or fourth race, you are starting again at the back at the back of the pack.

If your looking for a great production car to run, try the Mercedes CLK Touring Car. You can get it up to about 700 hp and it handles and grips great even if you have to use sport tires.

You have to go to Practice and your 2nd lap or any lap after that needs to be faster than the AI times. That's how you get the pole position. But this is the totally wrong place for this thread.
