Absolutely.Indeed. Since branching off from the brief Production Series, GT4 is proving anyone have a chance of winning. Rarely are cars being taken out, less safety car intervention and mandatory pit stop throw it up for all to have a crack within the hour, but boy it’s a quick hour.

The prices shouldn't be the only factor as to cap performance. No way a 276bhp Lancer is going to win outright ever. Even though I know the organisers made the race more about class wins, than about outright winning.
I think the Paul Morris 335i was the last "normal" bimmer to win. The M135i(?) that Morris won in outright did beat the M4, but it wasn't a normal 135i.

Seems to me they can barely bother covering the class battles for any more than 2 laps for the entire 6 hour race!
The other thing they really need to consider, is a price cap on the entry list.

I guess there is a marketing angle if someone was to run an SUV, but the reward versus risk would make me too nervous.No doubt. Alrighty, Lancers are twelve years old. One of the articles above even mentions someone can run an SUV. There have got to see some out there with more performance than those older cars. Kona N? VW T-Roc? New Forester?
Anyway, the Gazoo Racing cars and Civic Type-R(surprised these haven't been raced after the Integra Type-R stopped production) should hopefully, fill some age gaps.
Go the Polo. Interesting that it's in Class C.A GR Yaris ran in last weekend's race. Surprisingly, a Polo was annoying a couple of faster cars. Those cars couldn't shake it.

👍Interest in the Mustang GT4 is high as Miedecke expects at least four to be on the Monochrome GT4 Australia grid in 2025. Plus, there is an option for more to arrive ready for the start of next season.
“From a timeframe point of view, getting a Mustang GT4 for next year is getting tight,” Miedecke explained.
“There’s now four that have been sold in Australia, with Gomersall’s, our one and we’ve sold another, which will be on the grid next year. We have an opportunity for one or possibly two more before the start of next year and we’re currently discussing with a few interested buyers on those.”
