I noticed that the previous lap was pretty slow (2:34), and tire temps were in the 80s in the beginning of the video. Corvette might have cold tires to start now?

Yes, i will be buying this. Game just gets better and better. It does need more cars in each class, but overall I look forward to playing PC2.

There is a lot of exciting stuff to discuss once us WMD Members know what we are allowed to talk about in public. With regards to the timeline, WMD is not more knowledgeable than everyone else...and IMO that's a good thing :-)

Really hope that PCars 2 lets you put racing tires on street cars, Cause man the P1 is pretty undrivable in PCars 1 :indiff:

There are much better options to improve the driveability of Road Cars than unrealistic tires :-)

So I take it the lone V8 Supercar will have some friends to play with?

Not necessarily - if they couldn't get a series licence last time (which is what's needed to have more than one V8SC in the game, from what I've read) then I wouldn't assume anything for the sequel. Same goes for current DTM cars I believe.

They said they had someone in talks with VASC over 12 months ago, but they've been very quiet apart on what is/ isn't coming, even the Porsche announcement is somewhat 'wishy washy'

I can't be the only one who thinks this is quite nice.

After having a look around the same forum, I found some more screens of PC2.

Maybe it is just and most likely have only done 25% or less of career mode on Project Cars.
However despite the weather effects being good in Project Cars, at least on the road courses would strongly prefer that the rain, beside maybe light rain is limited to 25% or less of the races. Unless perhaps the race is 1 hour plus in real time than guess rain etc. would be okay more often.

Also would like to have something like sand box race series where you can pick the tracks, time of day weather effects etc.

Looks like the Lotus 49. If that's the case, they might be implying a different track. I don't recognize the surface.
After having a look at a few images of the back of the cars, they do look very similar.

To me, the circuit looks a bit like the hairpin at Rouen.
