Maybe a bit unusual but the Lotus 56 (the turbine-powered indycar) at classic Monza with the GP circuit and the oval combined is insane. I don't know how to describe it really but accelerating out of the slow bus stop chicane and on to the oval the car feels like it will never stop.

Unfortunately the AI don't seem to take to this combo too well, I usually see some wedge shaped cars stacked on top of eachother in the chicane, or stuck far in the gravel at the Parabolica, but even driving this alone is a thrill.

I thought I'd be all over the 962C but after having driven both that and the Nissan GTP ZX-T I must say the Nissan takes the cake for me. So nimble in comparison. Strangely not one single AI driver chose this car in a same class race.

Maybe it's because I'm a Texan, but the Chevrolet Corvette C7R @ COTA makes me look like one of those cartoon characters that has giant hearts protruding from their eyes.
Do you have a setup for it? I cannot set it up for this track.

I used the default setup for my lap time in time trial mode. I've never been good at setting them up. I will say that knowing when to brake and turn is crucial for COTA mainly because of the constant harsh corners.

Also I'm not a fan of the fact GTE is grouped with GT1 on time trial leaderboards. Makes me feel like I'm driving a Prius against a field of Mercedes AMGs. :(

Very, very surprised because I thought it would be about as much use as a chocolate teapot, but my favourite so far is the Agajanian Watson Roadster. Try it round Donington Park, Laguna Seca, Knockhill, Willow, Rouen, Brands, the Nordschleife - any old looking track - it is utterly brilliant! It only has 2 speeds, does 168mph and you use top gear for 99 percent of the time - it doesn't sound like a good recipe for a favourite car, but it has an exciting power delivery with reasonable acceleration and then a brief burst of violent urge when it "comes on cam" which is almost enough to send you off the track (at Laguna). Handling is amazing - it can be recovered from seemingly impossible drifts - at slow speed at Knockhill or very high speed at Willow. Braking is a challenge (all aids off) - brake early and gently then cadence brake as necessary and don't change down to first unless you're at a virtual stop. I've had some great races so far and depending on the track it has fulfilled my fantasies of being a Grand Pix driver from the thirties, forties or fifties. One tip - use rolling start because it is difficult to get off the line without being speared by over eager AI!

It's like the old Pole Position video game. Two speeds: Low & Hi. :)

I had fun driving it around Brno... I'll have to try it on some other tracks

The usual suspect NOS with z4, 1m , ....

But I took the 1M for a spin around the kart tracks in light rain, TC off in the setup/tuning, hard tyres....

Daytona Rallycross + Civic GRC (or any other) = pure joy

I'm amazed at how good SMS has made this Rallycross. A bunch of cars, a bunch of tracks and you can have more fun than in every rally track and stage Gran Turismo has ever had. Just wow.

I was never a fan of rally games (CMR, WRC, Dirt, etc) because I don't like the system - stages from point A to point B - but Rallycross is on right on my alley! Short, demanding, fun circuits with as many laps as you want and with the dynamic weather and time of day, this alone justifies the money for pC2.

I thought the F40 LM would be an uncontrollable beast but it's so damn nice to drive! Even with the boost pressure cranked up to max it still handles well. AI not very fast in this class though it seems. Having some fun at Catalunya National.

Porsche 962, historic Spa

Toyota GTONE from Le Mans 99 is it? Any of the 90's GT cars are great. Shame there's no championship for them

Been doing some 25 minute endurance races at Daytona Road Course and Le Mans with multiclass (LMP2, GTE, GT3 @ Daytona) (LMP1, LMP2, GTE, GT3 @ Le Mans) racing. Great fun, but I'm having a hard time getting the AI set for me personally.

Also drove the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 at Algarve. Handles like butter!

EDIT: Once you get a good setup for it, the oval-spec Indycar is a blast to drive at Texas.

Don't have a favourite car/track combo yet (like I'll be able to pick just one anytime soon ) but:

Been doing some 25 minute endurance races

This, with x60 time change, is my favourite race setup (would be 24 minutes if that option was available, but hey ho). Hope to run at least one race of this type on every track in the next week or two.

Holy crap guys, you HAVE try this one!!!

Time trial
Snetterton 100
BMW 2002 Turbo

car setup: completely stock (the car comes with all-weather tires)
I’m on PS4 Pro with the DualShock controller, completely stock controller settings!

Now start lapping this baby. After 1round or so when you get used to the car and the rubber got some heat you can seriously drift around so nice and so controlled with this car! Again, I’m on a controller with the absolute stock settings. I am no drifter at all but this car started drifting a bit on its own, kinda like an invitation. Well I accepted the invitation, massive fun! No need for the handbrake at all, come into a corner, start turning and you will hear the rear wheels gently asking for a drift. You can control the drift very nice with the steering wheel and the gas. Really really fun! Especially in the last long turn.

Again, especially if you are not a drifter or hate drifting, this one is for you! :)

So many possibilities and just discovered 5%? And for now Nordschleife with the Escort or Aston Martin DBR1. I fell in love again :embarrassed:
Yeah, did the Nurb Full in TCR. I can actually have fun on this circuit now. Also helps that the controls are much smoother(XBONE).

My favorite in PC1 was the G40. After racing these TCRs, I just didn't want to touch the G40, in PC2, at all(for fear of putting everything else to the side). Well, I did a race in the #24 G40 Junior at Donington( my go to combo in PC1).... DAMN that little car! Does it all, so right.
I made sure just to the one race in it, with GT3/GT4/TCR. When I get settled, I'll go full beast with it.

I think the nicest car I drove today was a GT4 Cayman on Laguna Seca. That car handles so smoothly and corners on that track are a perfect match for it. I drove with the Mazda Miata Cup Car in iRacing a lot on that track, so it felt very familiar to me.

First car I booted up was the ZL1 as I have the most real world experience with it :). Problem was at Laguna Seca I couldn't get that sucker to even do a good lap, I hated it. Hell I almost wrote the game off because of that car. Then I hoped on the forums and people said to try the GT4 Cayman and yeah it handles a like a car of that stature should! I think/hope they will tweak some of their road cars that just perform very "off" Example the ZL1 would snap that rear end out way sooner than it does IRL.

I'm in the same boat with the AI, I'm using a wheel and currently at 80% with aggression at 50%. I need to go higher I guess. What is your AI settings at?
