PS1 Games for PS2

Question for anyone who can help me, I bought a 2nd hand copy of Driver last week but when I try to save the game on my PS2, it wasn't picking up a memory card.

I know for a fact that I could save it before so does anybody have any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong???
 
Got a PS1 mem card? If not, you need one. If you got one, try slot1. If tried slot one, mabye it is broken? Can you reach the PS1 mem card from the PS2 browser?

Thanks for that advice.

The memory card from the PSOne that I used was not an official version but i do have one or two of them so I'll give them a try over the weekend.

Yes, try the other ones too, myself I had no problem with non-sony PS1 memcards on the PS2 but who knows, there might be a compability problem with different brands.
