They didn't, which is why they were discontinued after the 2014 model year.

Though, if I recall correctly, there was a model year (or possibly half year) in which the only convertible offered by Nissan USA was that one, as the 370 had just been released and the roadster followed later.

I liked the proper convertibleness of them--as an alternative to the flimsy snapped-on tops found on the Suzuki Samurai and similar vehicles--but they were still basically an oversized Golf Cabriolet.

About 40% of the parts on a standard Crossfire come straight from the SLK320. Whether or not the Merc badge contributes an extra 1% might be the subject of debate.
