Hi,

Where to add a race number to the car ... can't find the place!

You can't. Cars come with numbers but you can't add numbers to cars that don't originally have them
EDIT: tree'd

some of the dlc can be changed also. go into the garage then into the car, and from right to left is.... exit the tuning then change car then it will have a little box 99. click on 99. and long as the car isnt shared it works fine on ...most.... cars. but, anyway that is where you change them.

edit, forgot a step was all

I see they have race numbers in Renault Clio but I can't find any of my Clio ..

I dont believe that there's any car in GT5 wiht Number on the window. That's photoshoped. I could be wrong tho.

That'll be the Clio/Lutecia Trophy Car and they're all standard liveries. You can't change the race numbers on them (notice there's three 66s, three 55s, three 5s and three 33s in that image). Furthermore, that car is a Standard model and the option isn't available for any Standard cars.

Race numbers can only be changed on some DLC cars with race numbers and on the Race Modified cars.

The Car in the pic is a Standard Racing Trophy Clio and no premium Clio.

DLC Touring Cars, Citroen GT Race Car, Stealth and RM-Cars can change the number.
All other Race cars have fix numbers. (if I missed some cars let me know :D)

All RM vehicles, some racing models (such as the Citroen GT Race Car), Stealth models, Racing Karts, and some DLC race models can have their numbers changed. None of the standard models can have their number changed.

The vehicle in the picture, as stated before, are the Renault Sport Clio/Lutecia Trophy Cars. These cars are standard models and come with a variety of liveries, with each livery having their own unique number. Other cars that share this behavior are the Lupo Cup Car, Lupo GTI Cup car, New Beetle Cup Car, Mazda RX-7 Super Touring Car, Toyota Altezza Super Touring Car, Subaru Impreza Super Touring Car, and others. These numbers can not be changed.

Other examples of standard cars that have different liveries with different numbers are the Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca (51, 91) and the Audi R8 Race Car (1, 2). These models can not have their number changed.

If a car can have its number changed, it is displayed in the garage with a "99" icon along with the standard icons (description, demo, sell, get in, info, cancel, etc.) when viewing the vehicle.
