That's all for now, enjoy!!

I figured they would be good pics. The Evo 7 pic w/ the girl, which one do you like, the car or the girl? I don't mind either one right now :D

Well, cars might be easier to handle, but which one can you have more fun with?  Hmmm...  :D

Anyway, great shots, Drifta!  These make great wallpaper.

I don't really know what they are - maybe some sort of protection for the brakes.

To make the set complete I think you need a Metro 6R4, Audi Quattro and a MK 1 Ford Escort.

Maybe, but I'd think they would take that off for the photo shoot.  I just don't know.  Maybe that's some kind of weight or something?

LOL . Good one.

How about this for an explaination - it is to protect the front wheels from walls. As you can see from the car, it is a tarmac spec Delta because it has the low front splitter and low ground clearance. Tarmac rallies like Corsica, use very narrow roads and the slightest error will put you in the wall which could rip a wheel of. The best way to stop this would be toput some king of buffer on the front wheels.

  I'd have to agree with you, Drifta.

You're probably right, Phil, but it looks like that would just make the wheel catch on the walls easier (because it makes the tires stick out more).  I don't know...

Ok but just think of this. Try steering the car without power steering, on tight twisty roads with two weights attached to the front wheels.

Yeah, good point.

I can't find a place to sign up, Talentless.  :conf:

Stuff about fuel.

All WRC competitors must use control fuel as deemed by the FIA. Special octane mixtures are not permitted. All fuel for the WRC is supplied by Carless Fuels. For Spain, 29,000 litres of unleaded 98 octane fuel was provided in 149 drums containing 194 litres each

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the allocated refuel areas (where naked flames are not permitted and fire fighters are on standby), competition cars are re-fuelled at a rate of 55 litres per minute via a dry break coupling with two pipes – one is a breather, the other carries the fuel

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Subaru Impreza WRC2001 has a fuel capacity of approximately 80 litres and fuel is stored in a flexible rubber bag tank that is reinforced with kevlar. This is safer than traditional steel tanks and is almost rupture-proof due to its flexibility

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Impreza has two fuel gauges, accurate to 0.1 litre, one showing fuel in the tank, the other showing fuel used, forming part of the co-driver’s display unit

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weighing 0.79kg per litre, fuel adds a significant weight penalty, so the tank is located as low down in the car as possible to aid positive handling characteristics. The Impreza uses 0.7 litre per km on the average stage, and 0.2 litres per km on the road sections

Quote: from True Drifta on 2:54 pm on July 9, 2001[br]that's awesome. Where do you get this information from talentless?
He got it from the Subaru newsletter mentioned earlier in this thread.

I'm most suprised by the fuel tank being a bag?  :conf:  And, I didn't know the co-driver had his own display unit.

I can now clear up the Delta front wheel thing. The black thing directs air onto the brakes to keep them cooler. Thanks to tryphoor at www.rallycars.com for the answer.

i praise the person who did that, the peuogeot is the most beautiful car of them all and the subaru also and the mitsu    you know what i am addicted to these cars. finally i found a place i can feel comfortable in. thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Phil!  I see that none of us were correct.  :)
