Rally co driver issues?

Hey guys, im really enjoying gt and even if the tracks in rally are crazy wide and corners not very sharp im still loving it. But theres one thing i cant stand and ive lost so many rallys due to it.. The co driver keeps missing out corners. It isnt me, hes actually missing them out completly! I turn the map off due to it being in the middle of the screen in rally mode, (whos silly idea was that!) I cant see through the map so i leave it out. One other thing the co driver does is on a 2 left(Or right) streight 2 left(or right again) he calls long 2 left(or right) so once im done with the 2 left (or right) i go down the streight expect him (co driver) to call out the next corner and wack! And ultra sharp right (or left lol) and the penalty looses me a series i have been winning.. how do you quit halfway in i dont know? Anyone else noticed this? It doesnt fully
destroy rally but it comes damn close.. Some very small and silly choices were made that uave huge impact over this game. And when gt is know for refined and well made games it seems this was put together to fast. All of this could be avoided with a. The option to move the map to the default ppace or somthing. All probs fixed and rally would be great! :)
 
Not sure about missing corners, but rally is unplayable for me because the co-driver often gives his instructions too late, when the crash is unevitable.

I'm playing with the North American version in french btw.
 
The co-driver is an idiot. The only way to get thru the stages is to almost ignore him and just watch the map. Make the map as big as you can in the "quick options" menu so that you can see the corners coming far in advance. Why PD had to have all blind corners on the tarmac stage is beyond stupid. I just finished watching Loeb win the GB Rally on HD theater and this rally don't look or feel anything like that!!!:grumpy:..Lol...They may have well just left the rally portion out of GT5 as it sucks compared to the physics of rally in GT4!..my .02. I am really struggling just to get thru the intermediate stages.!:ouch::ouch::ouch:
 
Copilots miss in real life too --I believe it is an intentionally done by PD to add realism.

Personally, I like the rally stages and think the physics are pretty realistic. But what do I know?

Why are you passing what is a clear problem off and just calling it realism. If this happend in a real stage there would be a huge crash and maby even a risk of death. Who cars if a real co driver may miss one or two corners, i have crashed around 6 times in one stand because i havent been told a corner is next, and at night its darn impossible. But im not all gloomy and grumpy. lancia delta rally car.. So fun! i have it setup to just slide out a bit so if i dont get told about a corner i can quickly pull around and just make it. (thank god for 4wd) but with some of the stupid elivation changes mixed with a huge streight and nothing said from the co driver.. Theres nothing you can do. For me the maps in he middle and i find it distracting so i turn it off. Why didnt pd give the option to put this in the defult position?
 
has anyone figured out a way to get the rally map out of your face? without turning it completely off, i like to use the map since the co driver seems to be drinking on the job half the time, but the map is right it your line of vision and really messes you up at times.
 
Co driver no good - that's B spec Bob sitting next to you, didn't you know..??
 
Hello to ya all GT5 fanatics from the rally-country #1 Finland ;) Now that i´ve been playing rally on GT5 for some time, i´ve come to an conclusion that, i will have to buy that "WRC-the game", yes i know it´s not been highly appreciated or recommended by the players, because of some issues during gameplay, driving or etc... but i imagine that it would still be better to do rally with that... i dont know, i´ll have it early next week and then i will see... The most annoying things that PD has done to spoil the rally experience in GT5 on my oppinion are: the co driver! (my friends two year old would be a better one) The map! (why in the name of something great it has to be in the middle?!?! i´m trying to see the road you know!!!!!) Tracks! i´m from Finland and i know a thing or two about rallying, and one thing is for sure, you don´t drive rally in gravel-slopes anywhere in the world, there are ditches around gravel roads, just to get water away... secondly all the tracks/roads are way too wide!!! and finally, i think they (PD) haven´t ever really heard a WRC rally car doing 160 km/h and then braking in to a tight corner, the sound is amazing and mind blowing, no the kind of prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-rr-rr-r-r you get in the GT5... Don´t get wrong, i like and i enjoy playing GT5, but the rally they have created... not for me - no thanks! PD MAKE IT BETTER!!!
