Rinsky's 2021 MSN / Rinsky's 2022 Final Tour Archives

OK want to be a pain and change my cars, been racing with other cars and think these are better for me. Who knows I'll probably want to change next week, but won't cause I'm willing to stick with my mistakes.
So GT-R for GR.4
Genesis for GR.3
Think these are as good as the Mustang on most track, but both seem to handle the tricky stuff better.
Are you sure about your Gr.3 change?
I honestly would keep the Mustang over Genesis for the Gr.3. There are a lot of long straights on the Schedule.

John_YDG got the second Porsche. Do you still want to post the Toyota Supra as your Gr.3 car?

yes I’ll stick with the Supra.

also, tentative for tonight I’m exhausted from a long 2 weeks at work trying to catchup on sleep during the day but if I’m still catching up by race time I’m gonna skip- not a fun track to bounce off the walls with no practice and no mental awareness

Series is best of 10. You can miss 2 races without it affecting you. You're also welcome to start and park. As long as you start the race you'll earn something.

Its interesting the subtle differences in the different cars. On Saturdays race I was purple in the first 2 sectors probably 25% of the laps but I couldn't maintain that pace over the last 2 sectors. You would think if I was taking a corner so bad that once or twice over 67 laps I might have gotten it correct but it never happened.

@Cold Warrior I'm glad to see that I didn't cut you off as bad as I thought I did coming out of the pits on the last stop. I was watching the position on the screen because I knew we were going to be close to each other, in fact it showed you being past me already when I was exiting but as soon as I got on track you were on my bumper, I guess we can't trust the on screen info PD gives us. I even watched the replay and the on screen info showed you ahead until I was back on track.

Yeah, the first few Gr.4 races are at places that are hard to pass at general. Let alone to do it completely clean too. It was with that in mind and the Northern Isle race for Gr.3 in July. That I decided to ok minor contact. As long as you don't cause damage, wreck, wall, or force them off track. It's not a problem.

I was planning to try and stay close you to you. And pit for new tires only about half way through the last run. Unfortunately only like 4 or 5 laps in the last run. I finally ended up tagging the wall a bit too hard at exit of that last lefthander out the tunnel. Got both front aero and right front wheel damage.

I couldn't react fast enough to make into the pits that lap. So had drive a lap with the damage. By the time got back to the pit and did my stop for tires and repairs. You where to far ahead to run down. With having to pit a tad too early didn't give me enough of a tire advantage either.

Still I made it over 55 laps without any car damage. And a 3rd place finish. I think I ran good race.

This looks like fun! I know I missed the first race, but I am interested in joining for the rest of the season. What do I need to do to sign up? My PSN ID is redhotcpeppers. I have never run a 90-minute race nor done any races with damage turned on, so both of those look like interesting challenges :).

Can I use the Lexus for Gr.3 and the Honda NSX for Gr.4?

Are there any livery requirements? I didn't notice any in the instructions but I may have missed it.

Thanks!

Standings is best 10 of 12 races. You can miss 2 races. You want the 2016 or 2017 Gr.3 Lexus?

2017 please
Thank you. As for liveries. You reminded me of something I forgot to do. I wanted to copy the Livery rules from my other series.

Liveries Rules

Making a livery is not mandatory for this series.

Drive numbers are not mandatory.

Liveries may not contain or the following

*No illegal activity or material
*No political material or promotion
*No religous material or promotion
*No pornographic material or images
*No Logos of rival manufacturers

Basically nothing that could get us in trouble or cause arguments.

The last one is a more because I disliked seeing people disrespectful the Manufacturers. They are nice enough to license their cars for the game. We shouldn't give them a reason not too. Plus I could see Ferrari being petty enough to suit video game players.

Our 8th sign up. I never copied and added in the Livery Rules from my other series. Nothing super serious or restrictive. Just more so we don't get us or Gran Turismo into trouble. And to prevent arguments.
