Series Introduction

The 2021 season will mark our 4th year on GT Sport and I'm happy to announce the new form for Rinsky's Monthly Saturday Night Endurance Series is up and running. I intend to keep this as a fun leisurely series, but l did make a few changes. Come check it out.

We once again run both the Gr.3 & Gr.4 classes while racing them in alternating months. With unique twist. Your Gr.3 and Gr4 don't have to be the same Manufacturer. You may choose any available combination. There is a limit of 2 per car model. And car first come first serve. Choose wisely but, don't take too long. Oh, and there will be 2 special exhibition races.

Changes for 2021
*Non GT Planet members are now allowed. (I'm willing to communicate series info via PSN).

*Your Gr.3 car and Gr.4 car do not have to be from the same manufacturer this year. You may choose available combination.

*Car models are now limited 2 instead of 3 (Both BMW M6s count for the same limit).

*Players may no longer freely change car models of the Manufacturer.

*New Car Change Policy.

*All Road Course will be Grid Starts.

*All Oval Races will be Rolling Starts.

*Ovals and Tokyo Central Races will not have Corner Penalties.

*Removal of the No Pitting Rule During Qualifying.

*2021 Will Drop to Only One Dry Tire Compound, Racing Softs (RS). (Even with excessively high tire wear. Short pitting still proved to be the better choice
to a harder compound).

*Some regular races will be lap races to specific distance close to the 1.5 hour mark.

*The Gr.4 class will get it's own special length points race in June.

*The Gr.3 class special length race will be a half distance race of historic 1000 km of Monza.

*The both Gr.3 and Gr.4 special length races will be Double Points.

*New Points System with bonus points for Pole and Fastest Lap.

*No Award Payouts for 2021 season. Sorry I can't afford it.

*Traction Control (TCS) will now be allowed for both classes. (TCS can be used to preserve tires).

*Driving Line Aids now allowed. (These aids have no affect on car performance. If someone wants to use our series to learn a new track why not?) (Driving Line not an excuse for damaging others cars).

*2 additional special exhibition events (6/26 La Sarthe No Chicane Mix Class Gr.3 / Gr.4) (8/14 SSRX 40 min Double Headers Gr.4 & Gr.3).

*Tuning will allowed for the exhibition races, No BOP for SSRX races, Manual BOP for La Sarthe race, Car choice for exhibition races are free of choice.

*A small points payout will be offered for the top 3 finishers in exhibition races. (The La Sarthe race Gr.4 Top 3 will also get the small points payout).

*Blue Flags No Longer Enforced. (No sport car series that I know of
enforce blue flags, It's the faster cars responsibly to pass safely).

*Minor Contact is permitted. (Damaging or wrecking other cars still won't tolerate)

*On track time Penalties now enforced. (Time Penalties must gone by the end of next track sector). (In simple terms. Before 2 beeps.

* Added Points Penalties for Misbehavior.

If you get a time penalty for corner cutting or yellow flag violation. You must deplete your before the end of the next track sector. Expect for races at Northern Isle Speedway and Broad Bean Raceway of which time penalties must be taken as far to the inside of the finish line straight the next time by. Note time penalties will not deplete on the apron of ovals. Failure to deplete time penalties will result in further a points penalty.

Also you may not use time gained from corner cutting or be in a yellow to gain position. You must give the position back or be given a points penalty.

Minor contact with other cars will not be penalized as long as it not cause damaged, wreck, or shoved off another car the track. If reported a penalties may be called on one or both drivers depending on who is at fault.

All race pace cars have priority. No matter if you exiting the pit, recovering from a spin, wreck, or an off road experience. You must let race pace pass. Pulling right out in front of people. On track will lead to penalty.

Cars that severely damaged or ran out of fuel. Who I refer to you as limpers. And are slow on track must stay to the side of the track and hold you line with car are passing. If a section of track is narrow race pace cars through first. Limpers please get down and stay on the flat inside apron for Oval.

The inside apron maybe used for racing but, limpers have priority below the apron as they need somewhere to go. A race pace car will be penalized making contact with them.

Driving against traffic prohibited. And you will be penalized. You may only drive in reverse to clear yourself from a wall or obstacle. This goes for limpers too. I don't care if you just passed the pits and they are right there. You will still be penalized.

Dangerous reckless driving will be penalized based on severity

Drivers are expected to enter the pits in a safe reasonable manner and mindful of those around. And stay to the pit side of the track when entering the pit. You the track has an aprons or paved area for a safer entry. Dangerous pit entries and exits will count under reckless driving.

Qualifying Restarts Procedures

If a restart is necessary. Everyone will asked to exit the track. And attempt to fix the issues will occur. There will be only 1 attempt to restart with Qualifying. If the issues still persist. Qualifying will be cancelled and the room will be reloaded. The grid will then be Set By Host based on the current points standings. Yes. There also car model limit of 2. Though you miss to 2 races. If you haven't missed a race yet. A car change it will use up one of those races. I applied this my Supercar series too. It's to prevent people from changing their to suit each track.

I'm in.
GR3 - Corvette or RSR
GR4 - Ugh not a clue yet
Okay but, l not allowing you to claim 2 for one class. So Gr.3 will be a ? until you officially decide one. It's would not fair others to allow you to hold both with the 2 model limit. Also car selection first come first service. If someone picks last Porsche before you decide they get it.

After doing some minor testing. I have decided to extend from a 90 Minutes to 2 hours the Special La Sarthe No Chicane Gr.3 / Gr.4 mixed class race.

Apparently while the Gr.3 Class cars accelerate and corner better than Gr.4. The latter of which is reduced by low downforce setups for the race. The Gr.3 and Gr.4 Classes are close to Top Speed wise with BOP. With some of the faster Gr.4 cars have higher top out speeds than some of the slower Gr.3 cars. This should make straight away battles between classes interesting.

With this discovery lap times are as far apart as initially thought. Since part the entire point of this event is to see and race with another class around on track. I've decided to extend the race 2 hours to allow for more lapping opportunities between classes.

If this 2 class race does well. I might add another mixed class race later in the season.

I will do tire, fuel, and race length testing our next season. After my next race for my other series this Saturday.

I’ll give it a go

John_YDG / John_YDG

Probably go Porsche for GR3 and don’t know yet for GR4 but I will update it.
You can only hold a car if you confirm. There is a limit of 2 per car model and only one Gr.3 Porsche. You do wish to confirm your car?

I'm now having doubts about Gr.3 choice. Since I'm no longer sure. I removed it as my comfirmed choice. So there's now 2 McLaren F1's available again.

based on this not sure if a Porsche is still available - if it is can I switch? If not I’ll stick with the Toyota

I'll give John_YDG some time to give a response. There a lot of long straightaways on the Gr.3 Schedule. So the Supra the may be a better choice for the Gr.3 season.

I fairly bad, but want to play. Don't mind not wanting me or dropping if you get enough good drivers.

Norrin Radd /Norrin-Radd_SS01 Well that's my main account, but have a US one if needed, would need to get some cash to buy the cars but that's easy enough.
As I like to be boring Mustangs all the way.

We're not picky on talent. As long as you're not interrupting races.

Account doesn't matter as you can access your cars. The Mustang isn't a bad choice for Gr.3. There's a lot straights on the schedule.

The Gr.4 class on the other has a lot technical tracks on the schedule this year. Are you sure of your choice?

Though if you're not US then are you okay with the start times? From Central Europe and eastwards. We don't even open until after midnight.

Saturdays Night

Practice Start
Sat 6:30 pm Eastern Standard
Sat 3:30 pm Pacific Standard
Sun 12:30 am Central Europe Standard

Qualifying / Race Start
Sat 7:20 pm EST
Sat 4:20 pm PST
Sun 1:20 am CET

These lobby times are for all race unless specified otherwise.

All times are standard for the US Eastern Time Zone.

Oh, also are either of those names your PSN ID. We usually host with a friends only lobbies unless I'm experiencing internet or power issues.

So I either need your PSN ID to send a friend request or you'll need to send one to me TheColdWarriors.

Times are fine for me, starts 11:30 till what 2:30 ish , better than during the day as I don't get disturbed. I really get on well with the Mustang, I know some cars are better suited but I just do better in this. Not like I'm looking to win, just have fun and maybe learn a thing or two.

Sent friends request, didn't you used to get an option to attach a message? Or did I just miss that...forget it you agreed

Important!

Due to the current health issues in my family. The changeover to a new form and some lessons from the past. Along with other minor reasons.

I have decided to move the start of 4th season this series to the January 16th. I also decided to reschedule the April and July races to non holiday weekends.

This will also give everyone more time to select their rides. If you have a ride by your first race of with that class. The ride you enter will become official. The 2 car model limit will still apply even on race day.

I have stretched out the rest season and rescheduled races of my other series the Supercar World Speed Contest. A short cut link to the series can be found in the main form of series. And a link to this series can be found on other main form.

The rescheduled races allow for easier and more flexible schedule for both series. I do intend to keep this series on the our traditional 1st Saturday Schedule as much as possible.

Thank you and see you all January 16th. Enjoy holidays and stay away from sick people.
