S3 to return to the Graphics Market!!

Read about this in Micromart, they said they will be returning. And well there Graphics Card is cheaper then a 7800GTX, but it can beat it.

But what I mainly was shocked about, was that Amstrad will be entering the graphics market soon. And there first Graphics Card will have Shader Model 4.0.

A GPU that will beat a 7800GTX? That's what they said three years ago.

Every S3 card I've come across has been a complete piece of **** ... So I'm just going to brush this off with an, "I'll believe it when I see it" and go on with my life ...

You expect us to believe any of that?

The amount of money it'll cost to build a card faster than the 7800GTX, and then the inital outlay of actually getting into the game (whos going to buy S3 when nVidia and ATI are favourites?), I highly doubt they'll sell a card cheaper than the 7800GTX, yet faster.

And Shader Model 4.0? Hah. Games today are only just starting to implement SM3.0. How many games today use it? Maybe 5 or 6? SM4.0 is a looong way away yet.

Well ATi has released a new card, the X1900xt, and Nvidia will most likley release the 7900.
