Here's a thread where you can share your opinions (popular or not) about certain bands/songs/albums/etc. I'll get the ball rolling:

- The White Stripes suck and should have their own sub-genre of "**** Music". The Strokes belong in there too.

- The Beatles are overrated.

- AC/DC (whilst awesome) are the least dynamic rock band I've ever heard.
 
Tool is overrated.

Punk should be stricken from the history of music.

Here's another apparently unpopular opinion: 80s music sucks! Not only have I heard that music more than enough in the 80s, but it is a lamer decade than any other I can think of since halfway the previous century. Yes, it saw the birth of some interesting genres, but these mostly sucked initially, used crappy synthesizers that sounded like ****, and both the genres and the synthesizers only started to attain a timeless quality in the 90s. Sure, there were some decent songs and bands, but so does every decade.

The 80s are currently in vogue, and I currently hate them all the more for it - as much as I hated Freddy Mercury after he died, and we got beaten to death with Queen songs for a year after ...
 
Every boy / girl band member EVER (and those who participated in their making) - should be put on the Partridge Family bus and driven off a cliff....

I even remember that episode of top of the pops when Kurt cobain sung live and the rest of the band mimed. Then they smashed everything and had a stage invasion.

To be honest I can't find anything musically wrong with Nirvana, I just don't like them . Alice in chains on the other hand.............
 
Radiohead is boring and overrated. I seriously dislike this band.

Deftones are whiney and annoying.

Slipknot is just horrible. I'd rather listen to Radiohead.

Country music sucks. I'd rather listen to Radiohead.

Linkin Park is overrated, but I still like their music. To me, it's on par with techno or rap. I can't listen to Linkin Park when I'm in a "rock mood", but when I'm in the mood for techno or rap, it fits right in. :shrugs:

Incubus is better than 95% of all current rock bands. They rule. 👍

The Beatles are definitely overrated, but still good.

KISS sucks as a band, but still makes for good entertainment.

Rappers that can't speak decent English should be dropped in favor of more intelligent ones. Example - Mos Def > Little Jon

90% of Punk music is horrible, but that leftover 10% is awesome. 👍

Ozzy is the worst singer (of a popular rock band) ever.

I'll think of more later.

Radiohead sucks, the White Stripes suck, Linkin Park does have listenable song if only because they are catchy, 80's music is the worst music ever, Slipknot is better on their most recent album, Stone Sour is better than Slipknot, there is nothing wrong with hip-hop as long as there is some wit involved like The B.I.G. and Snoop Dogg, but I don't really enjoy listening to it as much as rock. Nickleback sucks.
 
METALLICA Rules, Rap sucks big time, I think Van Halen isn't too good, Me playing guitar is the worst music I ever heard, Punk rules, Metal rules, Linkin Park Rules, Pop should go away, because rap and pop are almost the same thing. I'll think of more things later
 
ABBA and The Bee Gee's were awesome bands. "Dancing Queen" and "Staying Alive" are both brilliant songs that nobody can say a legitimate bad thing about either one of them. I love them both.

I loved 80's music, but I do admit it was very "poppy" and "cute" that it could be a little annoying, but it was a lot of fun. I guess it was a different time, with everyone today trying to act so "cool", and listening to such BS" "Hype" "Full-of-themselves" music of today that tries not to sound too "commercial." I can't remember a single song that was meant to fun, by any one particular band or artist. Ridiculous. There is not one band that I can honestly say that I love very much that has come out in the last ten years. STP was the last band, and maybe The Hives, but everything else has been pure crap.

Limp Biscuit, Kid Rock and m&m can all finally drift off into obscurity. Yeah.
 
In Flames sucks. Soil is absolute garbage. I hate the Rolling Stones. I love Depeche Mode. I enjoy Country music. Primal Scream is the most underrated band ever.

Radiohead is a fantastic band (yes that's unpopular)
Disco rules
Techno is excellent
Movie soundtracks usually have excellent music
Chopin kicks Mozart's ass
Abba was good, the bee gees were good, ELO was good.
Queen is one of the best bands of all time (not sure anyone disagrees but thought I'd throw it out there).
Korn rocks (again, not sure about dissent)
 
Metallica Is An Overrated Sucky Ass Trendy Band.
Same For Tool. And A Perfect Circle. Sucky Ass Trendy Bands
Punk Rock Is A Terible Genre, Due To The Sundden Rise Of Emo Punk And New Age Punk.
All Bands Of Any Genre Founded In The Last 10 Years Blow Balls.
Bands With Wood/Wind Instraments Are Absolutly Terrible And Deserve To Be Shot.
 
Finally I can say this:

All rap sucks, pop sucks, country sucks, anything 70's and before suck. Metal and Hard Rock Rule.

👍 Slayer's The best in Metal, Motley Crue the best in Hard Rock

Metal in the 80's was better than today because many of the "satanic" content was in the early 80's, some bands still contiue today.

I agree, Metallica rules but its not exactly the best, sorry to say it, Slayer is better.

This is just like watching the Beavis and Butthead insulting the Music Videos that they see such as:
Kiss: "This band is cool for a bunch of mimes" -Don't know who said it.
Michael Bolton: "Look He's trying to play heavy metal" -Beavis, "I bet he could make any kind of music suck"--Butthead
 
90% of rap is utter crap. the other 10% is frickin kickass

Joe Satriani IS the greatest guitarist EVER - nobody I've heard has ever come close
Yngwie Malmsteen is kickass
Disco is cool
I like Rush
Punk Rock blows donkey butt
Radiohead is annoying
I don't mind country music
 
Lenny Kravitz - California is a good song. Hate me if you want.
Lenny Kravitz - Where are We Runnin is a good song. You can still hate me if you want.
