Jimmy Hendrix is WAY overrated in my book. The mere thought of having to hear his so called "music" makes me run for some towels so I'll be able to guickly stop my ears from bleeding.
His voice is terrible and monotone. He couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
His guitar, while somehow amazing to most, sounds to me like cats screwing. Again, to go along with his voice, his guitar couldn't hold a tune if one was nailed to it.
Techno, Trance, House, blah, blah, blah, is a whole genre of music that I could do without ever hearing. The constant repetitive nature of these types of music (and I used that word loosely.) drives me absolutely insane. This style of music is similar to having to listen to a jackhammer, all, day, long. Which has about the same skill level required to make Techno music as required to stand over a jackhammer. Actually, running a jackhammer probably requires more skill.
Repetitive music, that lasts for ~15+ minutes straight, which really seems for an eternity, sucks donkey.
The Grateful Dead, Phish, Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incidnet, Widespread Panic, Moe, Gov't Mule, or any other type of groove music, annoy's the hell out of me too. One of the saddest days of my life is when I heard the news that Jerry Garcia died. Cus that meant that his boring garbage would be getting some heavy air time. Another reason why this type of music irritates me, are the majority of fans that follow it, which are mostly deadbeats with no life dream other than to sell grilled cheese sandwhiches from the back of a rusted out VW Bus, dance around in mud and partake in a ludicrous amount of illicit drugs while preaching about peace and love. Go **** yourselfs and die you dirty hippies.
