After ten years racing on GT5, GT6 and Project Cars 1 and 2, "Sick's Race Room" is returning to Gran Turismo Sport for classic racing with iconic cars and clean drivers - Wednesday's from 20:30 to 21:30 UK Time. (Monday series continue on Project Cars 2 Hosted by IfAndOr)

To aid with planning of series, if you are interested in racing with us please complete the Unicorn Car Questionnaire and leave your name below. There will be one make series, team events and an opportunity to use your unicorn cars in historic settings on realistically slippery rubber! Note - any events which feature the high value Unicorn cars will also feature low cost alternatives.

Note: the following cars which are not classified as high value may be used in one make, multi-make and / or multi-class series : Shelby Cobra 427, Shelby GT350 (Mustang), Chevrolet Corvette C2 and C3, Jaguar E Type, De Tomaso Pantera, Ferrari 365 GTB4, Porsche 356, Mini Cooper S 1965 (other cars may also be used).

Car - Chevrolet Corvette C3 1969 (50k from Brand Central - one of the cheapest cars, but a good one)
Power - N300 (NB the game will set your power to the correct level if you enter @100%)
Weight - N300 (NB the game will set your weight to the correct level if you enter @100%)

NB - If anyone new wants to join this series - you will be welcome - just leave your name in the thread!
Fast or slow, novice or pro, young or old welcome - just try your best to avoid contact and give back a place if you gained it through contact.

PS - We will be using a new scoring system - 1 point for last place. 1 additional point for each additional place. Both races are scored. 1 additional point for driver with fastest lap in both races. 1 additional point for both drivers if different drivers score fastest lap in each of the two races.

e.g. 1st place in both races could score as many as 33 points if there was a full room of 16 racers for both races and the winner also obtained fastest lap.

1 additional point for the Series for the racer with the best livery (in the sole opinion of Host Sick Cylinder, NB Sick not eligible for this point).

I have 4 of 20 million Unicorn cars, but they are very hard to get, therefore, I do not use them.

Well, maybe you could bring back the "Shelby v Chevy" series, which doesn't happen since 2017.

 

Interested if not working Sorry don't have any unicorn cars have most of the second options etype, cobra detomaso mini, Renault and mustang. Will try and get a unicorn but my grand daughter says that's for girls lol.

 

Hi Sick, I'm up for this type of shenanigans. Got all bar the Mk4 Ford and the Fuzzy GTO. Having said that, if there's one thing that GT teaches us, it's that the amount you pay for something has little to do with how much fun it is to play with

These are the 25 fastest races you can earn about one million cr. in about half an hour. (OK, some need cars that costs 20 mil) but here there are so nobody has to stick with Blue Moon Bay too long. I recommend the first one because once you tamed the car it is the easiest to gain the clean race bonus

I have every race made except the endurance races but what cr. concerns they are def not the fastest

This is career. Its a bit confusing because of the different names in other language

 

2 questions:
What clean rce bonus do?
Can I do any race of you mentioned, or I need unlock them step b step as it was in previous GT games?

 

The clean race bonus gives you 50% increase on Cr. and XP Points - so - in first race the normal 1st price is 230000 Cr, and with clean race it is 345000 Cr.
To race clean you must not have accident with other cars (touching sideways is mostly OK) and do not go off track
Yes you have to unlock them but I don´t remember very well how - its too long ago

From the manual:
Select "Campaign" -> "GT League" from the Top Screen to display the GT League Top Screen. There are four different leagues available, each with a different difficulty level. You must meet the conditions listed below in order to take part in each league:

　・Beginner League: Driver Level must be 5 or higher.
　・Amateur League: Driver Level must be 10 or higher.
　・Professional League: Driver Level must be 20 or higher.
　・Endurance League: Driver Level must be 30 or higher.

 

Thanks Andreas, a lot clear now, even though some German, in their. I'm at Professional level now, Napalm, still way to unlock endurance.

Wednesday 27th May Programme: 20:30 UK Time, Brands Hatch Indy, Mini Cooper S 1965

10 minute races, no qualifying. Grid start with false start check. Grid based on previous race finish

Tuning prohibited
Minimum weight 605kg (100% = stock)
Maximum power 98bhp (154%) note tuning prohibited, but you raise the power via the slider - if it doesn't go high enough add a level or more
Tyres - Comfort Hard

We are starting small (literally) with the Mini Cooper S 1965. If we race with those cars for a few weeks it will give new players a chance to earn some credits and buy some more cars.

These are the cars which I recommend that people buy first:

Shelby GT350 (Mustang)
Shelby Cobra 427
Chevrolet Corvette C2 1963
Jaguar E Type 19661
Porsche 356 - 1.2m credits
Ford GT40 MK1 road car 2.8 m credits

After those I would purchase:
Chevrolet Corvette C3
De Tomaso Pantera
Ferrari 365 GTB4 Daytona - 1m credits

I recommend getting all the above cars first before saving for one or more of the Unicorn cars. Series currently being developed / planned include:

1960's GT's
1970's GT's
1954 Le Mans Series - Aston DB3S v Jaguar D Type with Porsche 356 as an alternative car
1967 Le Mans Series - Ford v Ferrari v Jaguar with Ford GT40 MK1 as an alternative car (Possible GT class Shelby GT350 & Corvette C2)
1964 Le Mans Series - Shelby Daytona Coupe, Alfa Romeo TZ2 - alternative cars currently being tested.

It's certainly not a Olsberg Supercar Lite but I'll give it a go!

 

Slider only gets me to 90.

 

You need to spend some mileage points so that you can get to the stage 2 power settings.
