I'm hoping that we see some DLC tracks in the future, especially ones from GT4 that didn't make it in as well. We'll see though...

Right now, the only new stuff that's on the radar is new cars. We already have enough cars IMO (except for Porsche though) and we need more single player events and more tracks. :)

I suppose a line had to be drawn or the game would never had been released. We would have ended up with more tracks than cars, and to be honest the tracks we have so far haven't all been properly utilised in the current gt life mode.

Don't agree with you on this one. It's a great circuit and with 4 or 5 layouts would have suited the game.

I don't see that it offers anything that a host of other world circuits wouldn't, and many other circuits would offer a better combination of layouts for slower cars too.

Maybe because it's quite dull?
Yes. I would rather see a newly built course rather than 60+ years old. Silverstone is a rather boring course with the only part of the circuit that flows nicely being the Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel complex and that's not even too great.

Could be cos they changed the design this year, maybe they didn't have enough time to update the track, it changed quite a bit from previous seasons.

I love Silverstone. Yes, it's not a track for production cars- it's too long and the most of the corners are too fast to make it interesting (although both Stowe and Southern loops would be perfect). But with a GT race cars (or RM in GT5), Super GTs, LMPs and even Touring cars and not to mention the F2007 and F10, the track is just brilliant.

I believe the track will eventually make it into GT5. Perhaps the recent change in the configuration of the track affected its inclusion in GT5 at release date. It's the track for GT Academy Finals and it would be a big oversight to not include it.

For production cars it didn't stop Shift using the track with 3 variations. I'd like a few more UK tracks in GT.

Brands Hatch (the short circuit isn't that long but you could have the GP version as well)
Silverstone (with a few variations)
Donnington (short and GP)
Goodwood (track and hill climb)

I would rather see Infineon but I certainly wouldn't say no to Silverstone, it's a fun track with the right car.

Here's a wishfull thinking for tracks like Spa, Imola, Twin Ring, Dijon (and similiar less famous but awesome tracks), maybe some from F1 calendar.. but that's wishfull thinking..

Yeah a track which features a first sector with an average speed of over 260km/h (in an F1 car) despite having 5 real corners...totally dull.

I was playing Silverstone today on rFactor with the RF1 2010 F1 mod and my god it's a physical track which you need to be as precise as you are aggressive on. Getting the first sector correct takes some doing but if you get it right, it's some rush.

I think Silverstone's a dull circuit in slower cars. It's only the race cars that you get a proper feel driving on the track with.

Nevertheless, it'd be great if it was on, but wouldn't care much if it didn't get on GT5.

Should post your opinion in the track wishlist thread. Silverstone is definitely there already anyway...

Yes, Monza is much better. 👎

I also think it was a poor choice

The new pit complex is under construction, and will be for a little while, it may have made sense to leave it till next year when this phase of the development is over

Silverstone manages to make even touring cars a bit dull and the layout that is used for the BTCC is rubbish...

It's a curcuit which at best only works with F1, and only average for F1 cars at that, and that doesn't work well when you have 1 F1 car in your game.

I visit Silverstone regularly, it is my local track (20 mins away), I've watched everything from F1 to track days there, so I know it quite well.. but it wouldn't, make the top 5 of my favourite circuits in the UK, and we don't have THAT many!

Not bad, would be a great addition. Bathurst, Road Atlanta/America would be sweet too. Although I have not heard.

Just read it on a FB page that it's coming to GT5, not seem or heard anything on here so still sceptical to its truth ?? But sure hope so

I think a PD team was seen @ Silverstone a couple of weeks back. But if it makes GT, I think it'll be once GT6 arrives.. Bathurst as well.

Silverstone is being modeled. That doesn't mean it'll be on GT5, actually most probably not if they are doing it decently (iracing takes no less than a year per track).
