Alright Gents,
It's past 5pm est Thursday...deadline for all primary drivers to confirm attending has expired. Since no additional Reserves are confirmed available, @GTP_Guido is still eligible to accept the final open grid spot if he confirms before anyone else. With that said, we are now at a first come first serve for the final spot.

@Roman_GT23 has confirmed he could make himself available if there is absolutely no one else to run.
If interested in Racing tomorrow, please post below.

@MikeGrove and @LSGtheSkyChef , I included you into this invite. If interested, post here or pm me so I can direct you where remaining available cars can be found and forward time trialing instructions to be completed before race time.

Hoping to get a full grid for this event.
@MikeGrove has joined the series as a Reserve driver and will be racing tonight. Car choice and driver Leveling is in process and will be set before race time. With Raul confirmed, and MikeGrove joining us, we have a full 16 car field locked in for tonight.
Pre race Briefing will be posted in a little bit.

Pre-Race Driver Briefing
Friday, November 19th, 2021

at 9pm est

Tonight we are at Monza, a track that will cater to the higher power cars that tend to struggle on the tighter more technical tracks. For the drivers with the better handling and more nimble cars, survival and good track positioning for defense will be paramount in securing a strong result. One certainty for tonight....more battles will be had, and as always, consistency and minimal mistakes take the the podium places. Find your car's strengths and use them to their fullest. And lastly, be patient and aware of traffic and your braking points...especially at Turn 1 in the opening laps.

A few quick reminders to all drivers attending:
*Please be patient in high traffic, especially in the opening laps.
**Respect the space of the drivers around you, and make every effort to race as clean as possible.
***Race hard, Race consistent, and race fair.

Let's continue to showcase the clean and competitive racing that Snail has always been known for.

Drivers are also asked to please review or refresh themselves with the series Caution Process noted below:
Tab 4.2 Caution Process. (In 1st Post of thread)
Any questions, please ask.

Good luck to everyone tonight.

No chance of making race 1.
I’m in for race 2 if that’s an option
I have a reserve qualifying and Racing Race 1 in your place. Points earned in each race will count toward each of your totals for the season. Message me when your online, and I'll pm you when R1 I finished.

@Phlano099 has retired from the Michelin Pilot Cup Challenge series.

@fruitloop31
@Yugofan
You both have 3 events of participation giving you both first right of refusal, but the two of you are tied. Therefore, the 1st to reply to accept the primary grid spot will be awarded primary status and will guarantee their entry for remaining events of the season to be be teamed up with myself under the HPS Race Team. Good luck tonyou both.

If neither of the above care to accept the spot, the opening will then be solicited to the next group of priority.

Post Race Report
Event #5
at Autodromo
Nazionale Monza

on 11/19/21

As expected, some intense battles were waged from front to the back of the grid. Some great defense was also on display by drivers suffering a deficit in straight line speed.
For me, Race 1 was a high point of my season so far. After finding pole position, getting a poor start, and then a poor restart from the lap 1 Caution, I found myself in 5th place at one point. After a few laps and some luck, I worked my way into 2nd place with @Fudman420 out by over 5 seconds. Expectations were low on actually catching him, but I tried pushing. The gap closed to 3.8 sec at one point, before he went back at it and opened the gap back over 5 sec. From there it seemed like I was stuck in the 4-5sec gap range with no way to close....until a small mistake that brought me to within 2.5 sec with around 10 laps to go gave the extra motivation. Now, I saw an opportunity and felt I could close that gap. I pushed well beyond my comfort zone, with time dropping lap to lap. With 2 laps to go I was within 1 sec, and on the final lap managed to get onto Fudmans bumper. All the effort peaked on the final corner for my one and only attempt. Fud overshot, allowing me to over under, switching to the inside...however, he was able to hold the speed on the outside. The result was a drag race to the finish line that ended by a fender margin of victory in his favor. Great race and battle to the end Fudman420.
Race 2 was a few tough battles with @MikeGrove, @Noob01_lmdead and especially @Bologna_Duc for a 4th place finish. Great racing to everyone.
Also, a shout out to @stelephant for some great pace and attack at this event.
Many other battles and exchanges were had across the field, I'm sure.... feel free to elaborate and share any points from your races.
Congratulations to @llNovall for the overall EvenWin5 Win

And, our Podium:

2nd: @Fudman420
3rd: @Harry Rowley

I always look forward to the post race reports. It was great to see my name! Thanks for the shout out, wish I could have held my line through a few of the missteps I made. Blowing my T1 braking point in race 2 and bailing into the run off killed my chance of a decent finish, but I finally felt comfortable lapping on track with proximity. Great fun!

HPS/Lexus Racing has experienced some driver and sponsor turn over. First off, a new lead sponsor with corresponding colors has been established and was previewed in Monza. Also, a driver retirement from the Championship series has opened a seat for a new team driver entry with commitment to Jaguar Racing. Lexus and Jaguar will be working alongside the team sponsors to afford the best chances of driver and team success for the balance of the season.
The team will now be known as HPS Racing. A new livery for the Jaguar, raced by @fruitloop31 , has been rendered. Good luck to the newly formed race team.

To all Drivers tagged in this post, please confirm your status by posting here in the thread or via PSN message that you "will" or "will not" be racing by 5pm Thursday (day before race night) to secure your grid spot and/or to adhere to the absentee policy.
The final Driver BOP regulations have been updated and shown in the 2nd post of the thread. Please verify and apply these latest numbers to your car before entering the race room. Check and double check your BoP number prior to each race. Race Director will not be verifying before the race other than to take a screen shot of the driver specs screen to review post race. Any drivers with incorrect BoP values will be issued a 10 point penalty against their score for the event raced. Please verify your BoP.

Also, I would ask that all drivers re-review section 4 of the first post, (Caution process) for the series. Any questions at all, please reach out and clarify before race night.

The race Event schedule is shown below:
9pm est- open room and verify bops/warm up

BoP Chart and Drivers List
All drivers are required to be in the party chat whether they have a mic or not. Caution calling and directives will be issued through the party chat, and for those without a mic, it would come through your monitor/tv audio.

(In the event a Caution is called during the race, I ask everyone to be patient and cooperative.)

Please review tab 4.1 in the first post and clarify or ask any questions before we get to race night.

All drivers who make it on the grid, please stay in the race event for the night if at all possible, as we could potentially have had to turn some drivers away, leaving it a wasted opportunity for them to race. In the Event of a solo off track or spin, run to gather up as many points as possible (and there is always the possibility of a Caution to get you back up to field). Also, ballast adjustments will only be made if the event is completed. Stay with it and you could earn some help for the next event.

Primary Drivers will be given priority for each class, then go to the Reserves for each class as needed. Reserve Driver priority will be based on event participation, then based on order of confirming availability. Please reply with your intentions either way.

Anyone with a 👍 has already confirmed and are noted to be present for Friday, December 17th. Everyone else, please confirm, here in the thread or via PSN message, that you "will" or "will not" make it no later than 5pm est Thursday (Day before Race Night). Please reply either way

Confirming one of the two Ferrari’s from Team Salt Life/Ronin Racing will be racing
Looking forward to it. Btw, @IceWarden confirmed post race last Friday, so that will be both Ferrari's on the grid next Friday. If your around this Saturday, I'll have a practice room running starting around 8pm est. Hope you can make it.

Target times for this combo ?
Based on about 30 min of lapping, I was down to the low-mid 2:04's with optimal showing 2:03.7. I'm going to say avg pace in the low 2:04's, possibly hi 2:03's w' draft help, and fastest laps dipping deeper into the 2:03's. Each race will be 20 laps based on a 2:04 avg lap time.

I'll have a practice room running this Saturday evening around 8pm est. ImI'sure we'll get a clearer picture of the actual pace across the field.
