Your storage on the GT7 game must be full. It has nothing to do with PS5 storage, it's something else. Go check option then storage.
The replay button wasn't there for me. I have plenty of space to save replays to.

Great race last night everyone!!

I take no pride in the win but enjoyed the experience - I refused to sand bag and look forward to the PP adjustments as we all start grouping together.

As kind of a newb my goal was to hammer down - make no mistakes - and run my own pace- I practiced well over 1000 laps for this event and enjoyed every minute of it

Thanks to all of you for the experience and cant wait for round 2

Amazing job Ant!!! You did the Hogs proud sir!!!

Last 3 laps of my hunting for 2nd place in Race 2. Great race to everyone I had action with, and shout out to @DublDee on the Race 1 battle. Got within striking distance, but you made the clean run.

Thanks for the shout out! It was a great night of racing, wish I could’ve held the same pace in race 2 but I’m still happy with my overall performance.

Congrats man, I tried to hold onto your back bumper in race 1, but that just wasn’t happening! Good job!

Event 1 was a huge advantage to those of us with larger concessions

Event 2 is gonna be a whooooooooole different story gentlemen...... tighten up those boot straps - learn to tune - cause the tune at Daytona aint gonna do it....

Let the real work and fun begin 🤣

I am enjoying learning to tune - Don't know squat but sure hope to gain from this experience...

Thank you all for participating in this fantastic series of races

Or maybe its just my tune 😡

Event #1/ Race #1 Recap
250620 - Event 1 - Spotters Guide.png

Preamble:

Here we go again folks. Not much downtime from the conclusion of our 2024 Michelin Pilot Challenge until the start of this season but the demand is there and @llNovall has delivered the next season for us to enjoy. I'm not sure how many seasons @llNovall has been running but this will be my 3rd with this group and I always look forward to it.

Lots of returning names and a handful of new ones. We're all aware of the new process regarding the potential of a Pre-Qualifying round and the those results will also be part of these recaps should a Pre-Qualifying round be held.

I'll be returning again your Director of Media Relations and will be providing some pictures, broadcast and general commentary regarding the action on the track. If this stuff doesn't float your boat, then drive on by. The floor is open for all to post and share pics and highlights of their races.

Qualifying Table:

250620 - Quali Table 2.jpeg

Not much of a surprise here. I've spent enough time in practice lobbies with several of you to know that should @The_Antman_ and @Mac1032763 manage to keep their cars on the track, they'll be able to put some super fast times. Great to see a tight pack of 5 drivers between @DublDee's 1:46.745 and the 1:47.000 mark.

So @The_Antman_ claims pole. He's joined on the front row with @Mac1032763. Behind them will be @DublDee and @llNovall and just like that, the 2025 Porsche Cayman Mobile 1 SuperCup is underway.

Event #1 / Race #1:

LAP #1:
It's lights out under the lights in Daytona. It's a full sprint to Turn 1 and all drivers are mindful of the invisible wall and the dangers that can occur in the tight Turn 1.
SHARE_20250624_1245400.jpeg

LAP #1:
Lots of bumping through Turn 1 and several cars were touched up. @The_Antman_, @DublDee and @llNovall manage to get away from the pack occupying the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. You can see @socalnatv, @Worst_Driver and @CdnSweetTee trying to straighten out their cars. @Mac1032763 ended up with a contactless spin (I think) and further back it was a little bit of a bumper car effect, @Noob01_lmdead and @DRD_Niagara ended up in the grass. the three of us would end up at the back of the grid. All said, some benefited and some lost out but nobody's race was ruined.
SHARE_20250624_1246180.jpeg

LAP #2:
Again at Turn 1 on Lap#2, we can see @Worst_Driver, running 4th, take a little bit of a wide line which would allow @socalnatv and @Bologna_Duc through. @Worst_Driver would drop to to 6th place. At the back of the pic we can see @Noob01_lmdead and @DRD_Niagara door-to-door and @Mac1032763. The three of us managed to get ourselves back in the action.
SHARE_20250624_1246410.jpeg

LAP #3:
Lots of action at Turn 1. This time on Lap #3, @CdnSweetTee might have lots a little grip and made contact with the invisible wall and ended hitting the end of the wall. She'd avoid a catastrophic spin but the incident would drop her from 8th to 16th.
SHARE_20250624_1247040.jpeg

LAP #3:
Moments later, it was @Phlano099 that would end up with an unforced error and spin out in the infield grass. It would be his turn to occupy the last spot of the grid.
SHARE_20250624_1247220.jpeg

LAP #4:
Up ahead, by Turn 1 of Lap #4, the @The_Antman_ is still leading and it's becoming difficult to frame him with any other cars in pictures. In the distance, we can see @DublDee and @llNovall running in 2nd and 3rd, struggling to keep the @The_Antman_ within their sights.
SHARE_20250624_1247430.jpeg

LAP #6:
The mid-grid is where the action is at. @socalnatv is leading a train of 6 cars from infield back onto the speedway in Lap #6. A train that includes himself, @JDMKING13, @Kgffy, @DRD_Niagara, @Noob01_lmdead and @Mac1032763.
SHARE_20250624_1257560.jpeg

LAP #7:
Right from Turn 1 on Lap #1 when we both ended up in the grass, it seems I was paired up with @Noob01_lmdead. We traded spots (and light paint) a few times and had a nice lengthy battle for ourselves.
SHARE_20250625_0150440.jpeg

LAP #8:
By Lap #8, the @The_Antman_ continues to build on his lead. But the best battle of this race occurred between @bublyman, @Worst_Driver and @Bologna_Duc. This threesome spent just about the whole race within a few car lengths' of each other constantly exchanging positions between themselves.
SHARE_20250624_1258130.jpeg

LAP #9:
After her mishap in Lap #3, @CdnSweetTee managed to get a few spots back and is now running 13th. In the distance, we can see a mistake by @Noob01_lmdead who lost grip when the road portion transitions back to the speedway part of the track. He'd fall from 9th to 16th.
SHARE_20250624_1258300.jpeg

LAP #11:
@socalnatv, who I showed earlier on Lap #6 leading the mid-grid train from the 7th spot has not only caught up to the threesome of @Worst_Driver, @bublyman and @Bologna_Duc but in fact now leads them from the 4th position.
SHARE_20250624_1258500.jpeg

LAP #15:
At this point, and a little further back the two closest cars to each other is @JDMKING13 and @Kgffy who are running 11th and 12th and doing battle. @Kgffy is pictured giving a little kiss to the wall just prior to entering the chicane.
SHARE_20250624_1259070.jpeg

LAP #17:
I usually try to capture the winner in a way that displays his position in relation to the cards that are chasing him but it was not possible in this one. @The_Antman_ goes wire to wire and manages to win with a 16 second cushion in his series debut. Not only that but but sets the races fastest lap by a comfortable 3/10th of a second to pad his fastest lap in Qualifying.
SHARE_20250624_1259240.jpeg

@The_Antman_ will be flanked by @DublDee and @llNovall on the podium steps. @socalnatv and @Worst_Driver round off the top 5.

Final Event #1 / Race #1 Results Table:
250620 - Race 1 Results 1.jpeg

250620 - Race 1 Results 2.jpeg

Event #1 / Race #1 Broadcast:

Driver of the Race Award:
As I review the replay a few times to pull pictures and to record the broadcast, things stand out to me so I give a shout-out to the following drivers for their performance in Event #1 / Race #1:
  • @Worst_Driver - There's drivers out here that carry 25 more PP's than he does and this track specifically should have made for a very miserable race for him but to snag a top 5 position out of this race is a real strong showing.
Honorable mention to @DublDee who can't be faulted for not being able to bring in @The_Antman_ but he manages to keep a real quick @llNovall in check for the race. @socalnatv also got consideration for consistently picking up position after position to ultimately finish 4th.

Final Thoughts:
  • What's missing in this recap are the pictures I tend to post that captures when Lead Changes occurs but it wasn't mean to be in this one. A 16 second cushion is the most lopsided victory I think I've seen in this series. The track surely favored the higher powered cars but this is not to take away from the drive that @The_Antman_ had for himself. He's stated he's put a large amount of practice laps in preparation for this event and it showed.
  • Looking for additional racing while you await for our next Event? Consider getting yourself on the active drivers list for Snail's Sunday Night Spec League. Should a few hours become available to you Sunday night, you'd be all ready to hop for more action packed racing.
  • I'll try to recap Race #2 at some point next weekend.
That's how I interpreted Event #1 / Race #1.

DRD_Niagara
Director of Media Relations

Post Race Report and Scoring
Event #1 at Daytona International Road Course

Daytona made it's return to the schedule after being sidelined the last few seasons. Overall, the racing was close and intense across the field except for a few outliers that our parity regulations were not able to cover for the Daytona high speed sections. Qualifying and fast laps were very close across most of the field (again, except for our few outliers), especially for the opening race event, and are only expected to get closer. I had an amazing battle with @DublDee in Race 1 , and then battles across the entire Race 2 which ended in a photo finish drag race to the checkered line. Too many other points to highlight, but take a look at the replays...always worth the watches.
Race broadcasts will eventually be available for viewing, but for now you can view the actual in-game replays through the search tag: snailspc. Feel free to elaborate on any battle/exchanges you may have shared.
Despite a few early season incidents, overall it was a great night of racing.

Minimal lag/jittering was present across the field, but was overall manageable.

Now for Scoring:
Congratulations to awhitmo / @The_Antman_ (#01) on the Overall Win and Event sweep on the night. Great pace and lap consistency to dominate our opening event. Notably, a lot of practice and laps went into that effort Great work!!

Also, Congratulations to our Top 3 Overall:
1st: awhitmo / @The_Antman_ (#01)
2nd: NOVA-0479 / @llNovall (#4)
3rd: DUB-L-DEE / @DublDee (#33)

Awards:
awhitmo / @The_Antman_ (#01) , please apply two checkered flag decals linked below in recognition of your Race 1 and Race 2 wins, and also apply a "white" track map decal of Daytona Road Course to your driver side quarter window in recognition of your overall Event #1 win. >>>> Awards Link for Details and Decals

Series main Spotters Guide and Driver Profile page has been updated in order of driver standings with award tags and overall podium placement acknowledgements.>>>Driver Profile Page and Spotter's Guide

For any drivers that care to participate in displaying their Driver Standing for next event, please see the spoiler tab below for details. Please verify your current driver standing on the scoresheet provided, or by the driver profile page linked in this post. Please be sure to update your livery prior to each event. If in doubt, simply remove the numbers before the event. See the Spoiler tab below:
Driver Standings Recognition
Drivers will be encouraged, not required, to display their current driver standing going into each event after Event #1, though there will be a few rules and requirements.
Drivers who are interested in diplaying their current standing, should collect the following green digital numbers 0-9.
19298d4c15a5-screenshotUrl.jpg

After scoring is finalized and Post Race report issued, drivers will be cleared to edit their driver standing on their number board along with any award tags. Drivers should apply their Standing on both side's boards and be sure their number is in line with their actual standing in the Championship.
Should look like this:
19298d4a4df4-screenshotUrl.jpg

Rules and requirements:
To maintain accuracy and integrity to this recognition, drivers who choose to add their standing to their car will be required to submit an updated profile picture before each event with their scrutineering tuning sheet. Submissions will be reviewed post event just as I do for the driver regulations.
If a driver forgets to submit the car picture with a standing displayed or has the wrong standing placement displayed , it will result in a 5 point penalty against the overall event score. This has to be in place to ensure that those who want to display their standing, maintains the attention and accuracy for it to be credible.
If choosing to display, be sure your edited livery is correct, accurate, and saved prior to each event. If unsure or not interested in displaying your standing, simply leave it blank or just apply double zeros.
The profile pictures will not be used for the Driver profile page, only for scrutineering to maintain the integrity of this recognition.
Again, this is optional, but if done correctly, it will be a great way to know who is where in the standings as the season unfolds.

(Please be sure to set Max PP correctly, as noted above, for practice lobbies to allow those drivers with concessions to enter)

Next Event (#2) Driver Regulations is noted in the far right column.

Series Director NOTE:
I have heard rumblings about unfair advantages being given and some grief being passed along toward some of our drivers with heavier concessions being afforded....PLEASE STOP. Every driver that signed for this series ran a controlled TT with that data used to establish parity. From top to bottom, our spread in average pace for a target was inside of 6 tenths. However, so many uncontrolled factors contribute to variances in the outcome for our events. Track layout, amount of practice, different speeds at which a driver develops, etc. It is only a helper starting point to get us all a bit closer in pace to start the season. Those drivers that may have some advantage and early season success will get reeled in within an event or two due to our podium success penalties after each event. All it takes is two 1st place finishes to knock a driver down 6 points in PP. And once you earn it, you own it. That driver may have earned the big podium points haul to go with it in the early events, but then they will need to work extra hard to stay mid pack (sometimes even less), and score as many points as possible top hold that early established lead. I hate naming names, but ask @Worst_Driver about this....he ran very strong early in our last series. After a win and a 3rd place inside the first 4 events, he was relegated to mid pack pace fighting for every position he could to maximize his points and hold onto his overall points lead. @bublyman was another to experience the sting of podium finishes in this series. The points hauls are great, but they come at a hefty price. And with that, it forces any one of us to push harder to find that extra to be in the pace. Final thought, do not focus on those one or two drivers that are outside your ability to match....focus on the rest of the pack and where you stack up against them. Those with the early podiums will be there before long or even end up on the slower side of the pace range forcing them to race outside their comfort zones which raises risks of race ending incidents or lapses in consistency. Race for the battles and you will be surprised how the season unfolds and how competitive it is towards the end. Our last series proved this point with 4 drivers in striking distance of the Championship and 5 drivers fighting over 5th place.

Next Event:
