Series Engine Inquiry
To ALL drivers:

Prior to this most recent update, there were no engine swaps for the Porsche GT4 Clubsport that we are using. As such, I spec'd it with a High RPM turbocharger kit to get the desired 500hp.

In light of this update, I have verified that the 4.0 NA engine found in the 911 GT3RS is now available as an engine swap for our GT4 Cayman. However, there is a catch. You can only get it through luck/lottery/prize or you have to have reached Level 50 to be able to just go and buy the engine swap from GT Auto.

I have outfitted the car with the engine swap, headers, Racing exhaust, and air filter and then down graded the power to just under 500hp. The car feels amazing under normal aspiration (even better than turbocharged), and feels much more "Porsche Cup" like....and sounds amazing too.

So, the question I am posing to everyone, is who is at or above Cafe level 50, or close enough they could achieve it soon? Or, has the engine available for this car through luck?

I ask ALL drivers who signed up for the series to confirm if they can obtain this engine. See the pics below. The engine designation is highlighted in the top left of the tuning screen. Engine Model: MDYA-911

Can be purchased in GT Auto

Or go into your garage, and select tuning parts. Then look to see if you have the engine available for this car.

Here is a quick clip of the sound.

I need a confirmation from everyone on whether they have accessiblity to this engine, or could very soon. Please confirm by Monday 5/19, 5pm est. If all drivers have access or can get access within the week, I will plan to re-spec the car and update everyone before posting the Event #1 details.
Thanks for everyone's cooperation.

(Any driver highlighted in Green, have confirmed or was already confirmed through the GT7 server.)

Yup I am also… Should I wait to put in a TT?
No, you can do the TT as it stands. I did an engine swap version, only added the power restrictor, fully customizable ecu, race air filter, racing muffler, and racing manifold. The car does drop in weight to 2822lbs, but when restricted at or under the 669.00pp of our current regulation, it drops the output to around 465hp vs 500hp. Lap times variance was negligible.

By the looks of it, most seem to be at Level 50. I am considering setting the primary spec of the car to the engine swap version and restriciting it to our current 669.00 pp base regulation. Those that have access will be required to use these specs and adjust for their driver specific driver regulation from there.

Those that are not at level 50 or do not have access to the engine, will be grandfathered in at the 2866lb turbocharged version of regulations, meeting the same 669.00pp spec. I would likely plan a deadline for these drivers to reach level 50 so they can upfit their car before 2nd or 3rd Event. First, I want to see how many do not have access.

So for practicing purposes should we be sticking with the original format for now or should we do the swap and test it out?
Go ahead and run the engine swap. We are going that way. Those that are not at Level 50 will be allowed to run the original spec. The build specs are noted in the first post, tab 3.1. I will be drafting a formal post around this early next week.

Noticed I’m ONLY level 31…Since on GT7, I’ve literally bought one car for each of your series.

I’d really hate to drive a different spec than everyone else so I can do some of those ridiculous challenges or buy some cars. Whatever gets me there fastest. Anyone have a good cheat to get me to level 50 without having to dedicate the next 2 weeks?
