Some new info i found on Japanese site

from the motegi test, a journalist for a Japanese Game mag found:

- over 500 cars planned
- "Carrier Mode" to simulate a racing driver's pro life
- Pit crew is a possibility
- 100 circuits planned (tsukuba, kyoto, fuji, ny, grand canyon etc)
- AI updated
- Arcade mode & Carrier mode have online compatibility
- Possibility of a Contest mode
- NO damage
- used car shop, museum mode.
- courses are re-modeled
- !!!! Liscencing negociations under way with numerous brands including FERRARI
- Battery, Oil and Fuel come into the racing equation
- Exhaust after fires
- Over Bonnet View
- Data collection for F1 cars under way
- Racing Modify is back!

So much info is starting the leak out. I have a feeling in a month's time the dam is going to crack completely. I can't wait for an official car list.

From what I heard, Ferrari and Porsche are a definitive no-show. The rumor among the Ferrari topic is for downloadable F1 cars for online play only, but only with EA's permission and that's what they are rumored to be in talks over. Purple monkey dishwasher.

The downshifting flame output sounds great to me too. I hope it's not a rumor.

Eh you dont have Japanese support for the fonts and use www.altavista.com s translator, its quite good.

question for then. I believe there is a VERY STRONG probability that AMG and M cars will be present - tested by polyphony at motegi. I thought these brands were also liscenced by EA for their NFS (very stupid unrealistic game, btw). So if they are able to liscence these cars why would they not be able to liscence ferrari or porsche? did they get a exclusive or something? Also, if this is the case, How did Ferrari and Porsche both end up in the PS2 game Driving Emotion Type-S? I believe if the terms are right polyphony would indeed find a way if not find a loop hole like they did with the JGTC Diablo in GT3.

Here's the last that I've read. I've read that they got the Lamborghini License, and that Ferrari is still possible, but there is no porsche, but they still got RUF. I read it in a thread on this board...it's some kind of interview....pretty sweet though! Hope they can grab ferrari!

no, you're wrong about that too.

DETS was produced by Square Enix, and it is not owned by EA at all. They do have some joint ventures on the distribution of some games made by Square Enix in the united states by EA.

So, anybody else have a better explanation?
