Hey guys I'm using MK's editor and a sharkport to build Hybrids. I successfully built a couple but I'm having one problem. I can't adjust the ASM/TCS. My cars just sit there and spin. I have a Zonda C12S motor in my Civic hatch and a 787B motor in a Mini Cooper but the TCS is not adjustable. Also, in the MK editor it says "5" for TCS but that's not adjustable. In the game, they all say "---"

I did a search but all I can find is information about a Gameshark traction code. I'd like to do everything in the editor, and have TCS adjustable.

Any, and all help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Goldfingiz

Not sure why they aren't adjustable, I've never run across that before. Maybe it has something to do with the LSD, or drivetrain U are using. U could always change the value in the ini file for asm and tcs adjustments, but that won't make it adjustable in the game, it will just increase the amount U have on. In the ini, line 432=TCS and 444=ASM. If U want to post , or email me the ini for one of the caes, I'd be happy to have a look.

First U have to create an ini for the car. Do this by opening your save in MK's. Highlight a cell in the car that U want to make the ini for. In V33 or V32 U would then right click and select export car, in prior versions click on file, then export car. Give the "carfile a name, and select a folder to put it in. Now open that ini and adjust them.

BTW the help file in MK's has a section on the ini and breaks it down on how to adjust down force and such.

Hey thanks so much for the help! Any idea what # sets it as 10? If i put 10 in the ini, it says 2 in the editor. I tried 10/50/-50 and it spins no matter what =\

Thanks,

Goldfingiz

Not sure what # will make it 10, But if your running big HP with the FF drivetrain, there's probly not a lot U can do. Like I say, if U want to paste the ini to this thread some of us will try to help U get it right.

Her ya go!

Made some adjustments, and swapped a few parts. I think having the FF chassis on it with the MR drive makes it squirrely. Anywho, try it out, it's still a handful, but better than it was. Oh and I added some DF.

BTW, the reason U couldn't adjust the asm and tcs, is that U must have used the change part option on them and selected special, or none. I changed them back to normal and they are now adjustable in the game.

Thanks so much! It's insane! I have one more question. Can I use TVR paint on any car? I tried on the Civic but it didn't work. I Just created a TVR, then clicked the "Color" and took the code, then replaced the Civic's color with it. Is that the correct way?

Thanks,

Goldfingiz

Nope, unfortunately U can't swap paint. In fact, usually using one cars paint on another cars body often will cause the game to lock up.

Alright :)

Hey, you're probably sick of me by now, but I have one last question. The Civic handles so well! What's the secret? I used the same chassis/suspension/tires as the Civic in a Del Sol and it was nothing alike. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks,

Goldfingiz

No Problem, it's mainly the DF(downforce) I added. Look at the 2 ininies above, Line 292 is front DF, and 296 is rear DF. Create an ini for the Del Sol, open it, edit those lines and save it. Then import your newly saved ini back into MK's. DF alone won't make a car handle great, and U won't need as much on some cars as on others. Also if U don't mind the look, F1 tires will make it stick much better. Keep in mind, when selecting a chassis, if U want the whhels to line up with the wheel wells, U have to select a chassis with similar wheel base, say within 20-40mm, and the lower the weight usually makes it handle better.
