:gtpflag:Race Day Alert :gtpflag:

Tonight is round 3&4 of the caddy series 👍. Don't forget to set your restrictors to the proper settings if you have been issued a new number for the races!
img_0697-png.647636

:gtpflag:Grim & Mphile Caddy series :gtpflag:

:gtpflag:Weapon=Cadillac Ats-vr gt3:gtpflag:

:gtpflag:Regs:gtpflag:
-Damage is visual only
-Mechanical failure is off
-Tire wear 5x
-Fuel is real
-Abs only no other driving aids
-mandatory pit on
-Tire compounds allowed are slick soft and rain for the series (gentlemans agreement)

:gtpflag:Restrictor penalties zone:gtpflag:

-bop restrictor penalties will be handed out after each race , 1st place get 6 clicks left, 2nd place gets 4 clicks left, and 3rd gets 2 clicks left on their restrictor. I will have exact numbers for the drivers before each race(a little bit of work but should payoff?) the drivers must remain at given restrictor numbers for the entire series. so basically if you finish 1st,2nd,or 3rd you will receive a restrictor penalty! The restrictor number could change for you only if you have reached the podium again, which means you have been issued a new number giving you less power.

Mphile77-35.1
Sgeti-36.1
Ipecac-38.1
Mexi-39.1

Remember lower numbers here mean less power, it will cause terrible starts at the beginning of the race, and your straight line speed will suffer drastically :banghead:

:gtpflag:Week 1 June 6th:gtpflag:
Monza gp 20laps clear/18:00 race start/15x time progression-complete winner Mphile77

Brno 15laps heavy clouds/ 6:00 race start/fixed time-complete winner Sgeti
:gtpflag:Week 2 June 13th:gtpflag:
Road America 15laps overcast/6:00 race start/ fixed time

Le Circuit Bugatti 22laps hazy/20:00 race start/fixed time
:gtpflag:Week 3 June 20th:gtpflag:
Zhuhai 22laps fog with rain/12:00 race start/ fixed time

Zolder 23laps medium clouds/22:00 race start/ fixed time

Hell of a night of races! First race battled with lobban for most of the race. If you want to call it a battle lol :D.
Then the second race had a three way battle with eh team and colts.
Colts and I were nose to tail most of that race too..
Not looking forward to this restrictor penalty next week though :banghead:.

Yeah last night was pretty cool, I enjoyed some mid pack battles with guys! Racing with the restrictor is definitely tuff, trying to maintain corner speed and stay out in front on the straight was next to impossible.

I think one of my new plans is when @coltsjugg gets near me im just going to crash into the wall and save myself the surprise attack .

I seen a piece of classy driving last night from @etcetera_997 , we had great battles man , totally respect that you didn't give me the silverstone special like my bff @mexxifrieboy , and you gave me a chance to race you till the end in second race, thanks 👍.

Congrats to winners last night

Glad to see some people had a good night of racing! Great stuff for those of you that can drive that car, i cannot lol... wich brings me to my next point. I will finish up the series as a spare parts car next week, but after that i am taking a much needed break. Unfortunately i am a competitive person and the more i race, the worse i get. I enjoy everyones company and SRM is all about the good guys and the clean races, but i am no longer enjoying the races. I hope i have a change of heart ( and attitude) but untill then, i wish you all the best and hope to see you in the future. Take er easy boys!

Nope. I don't accept your resignation. Who am I going to have my 4-5 battles with?

If we run a team series you better come back and race with me.

Youve been one of our best additions to SRM without a doubt. I just need a reset and or a refresh before i embark on another quest to tame a car

As soon as I realized you caught a penalty I said "I'm sure he's over there cursing my name".:lol: I'm just glad you didnt get a DQ. Sorry again brother.

Luckily for me @sgohsixthree couldn't hold on to his car and the results were about the same as they would have been.

Completely understand. I'm still gonna bug you when your online to drive some Porsches on AC.

It sounds like the tire wear has been a point of contention this series, the last race in particular. While the 5x wear hasnt been ideal I dont want to throw out the idea. It seems like the intention was to try and force us to decide if we should take one or two stops, but has become more about just holding on to do a one stop. A better approach might be to adjust wear not to force more stops, but make us have to decide the best time to stop.

For example, dialing back tire wear to 3x would still force us to do a stop, but we would need to figure out which lap is going to put us in the best track position, and lose the least amount of overall time. It would also mean the car is more drivable for a longer percentage of the race.

If we do want to force scenarios where you need to decide between a one or two stop it would likely be better to do that by allowing for different tire compounds.

I dont mean to just get on a soap box here. I'm more than happy to help with testing if you guys can let me know what information would help. (I should also just suck it up and start designing a series myself)

Oh yeah, i was like this :censored:ing guy  but seriously the penalty i got was 👎, I didn't improve my racing line , just a messed up part about this game .

We can totally dial back tire wear, i have no issues with that at all. If we can do things to keep guys happy and keep them racing with us its a done deal 👍. Im all for what the group wants in most cases. We will talk about a few ideas and make some changes to ease the pain a bit

Yeah I didn't have the best race ever at Road America, sorry about that crap braking Mphile and Mexi, but thankfully I didn't screw either of you lads because of it... (i didnt mean to, sorry) then i proceeded to do 360's and other numbers i cant count to. When i got the new tires i was pretty sure i was catching back up, but mcinnis was definately catching up faster behind me. Good race with mexi and eh team for a while on bugatii. Eh Team i need you to confirm your wheel didnt mess up during that race? Just so i can check "beat eh team" off my bucket list

Grim, I am a competitive person too, but I know my limitations and feel I have had a good night with a top five in any race. I never feel I have to win at all costs, that might be the difference. Some cars I like, some I hate, but taming the ones I hate is part of the fun. What am I gonna do with that rig now? Huh? I'll give it to the Hari Krishna's, I'll trade it for some finger cymbals and pony tail elastics.

Anybody want a free rig? It's ugly as Colts hairy butt, but heavy and sturdy, like Lobban's viagra enhanced sheep hammer. Shipping might be an issue, lol, it weighs about 100 kilos...... 220 lbs, for you misguided 'Mericans. You might want to pick it up.......otherwise, kindling for Mosport.....

Insiders suck....see, I already have the lingo down

Grim, start driving to Lobban now before @coltsjugg get there first on his bike to pick up your free rig

My plan is to get some practice in tomorrow night, i have not been on since last Tuesday nights races. The only issue is we are supposed to have some wicked storms tomorrow :banghead:. So if storms pass and stuff is all good I should be on 👍. Hope everyone had a good weekend .
