Standard cars and PS1-era cars that deserve the Premium treatment in GT7

If I had it my way, all of them except for duplicate cars. Things like cars given regional difference names like Mitsubishi GTO to 3000GT or Mazda Eunos Roadster to MX-5 Miata. The regional name changes don't really make sense anymore when the last GT game (GT Sport) was sticking to purely the JDM names only anyway. Especially since all PD did for the most part is change the name and badging, all of the North American localized Japanese cars for instance performed the same as their JDM counterparts and looked the same.

I don't know if I said it already, but I'd say the Nissan Skyline that was designed by Giovanni Michelotti - the BLRA-3 that debuted in GT4. (Indeed, I strongly believe in the idea that GT7 ought to include Nissan Skyline iterations that never had the GT-R label, including the R30 and R31.) I'd also say all the Isuzu models, but especially the one(s) designed by Giugiaro. But back to Nissan Skylines, I am hoping that we'll see premium versions of the first two GT-Rs, the KPGC10 and C110.

🏆Maybe Its Possible,The G40 is from GT6 which is absent I think many are surprised at his re-inclusion.very fun to drive historic car without detracting from the others in the GT series🏆

The Ruf CTR (Group C, Turbo Ruf) also known as the CTR Yellowbird or simply Yellowbird, is a limited-production, high performance sports car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Ruf Automobile. Introduced for the 1987 model year and based on the Porsche 911.What did that image represent in 2017? it all seems to have gone by the wayside Ruf and Gran Turismo have always gone hand in hand I would be happy if everything goes according to plans for a reintroduction of several Porsche and Ruf cars,the time to answer there was also about two years ago a video with the Kaz explaining the importance of Ruf on Gran Turismo but I don't know how bad it is.
 
PD should be smart about what cars are included

If they include something they should ask themselves what it's going to race against. If it doesn't have any other cars from its era to race against, and it doesn't warrant a one-make series, they should reconsider it. There's too many miscellaneous cars that don't really fit anywhere, like the Abarth 1500.

They included the 917 but if they have it racing against the Porsche 960 like they do in the trailer thats just embarrassing. That sort of "GT All Stars" mismatch belongs in the 1990s.

I remember in 2013 when GT6 came out, people complained about the Audi R18 being the slowest LMP, however they didn't take into account that the Audi R18 was designed for a different set of regulations. In this case, PD could have added the Audi R18 along with Peugeot 908 and other privateer LMPs that raced at Le Mans 2011.

If PD is going to add the 917, then they should include the Ferrari 512 S, since it was the closest rival to the 917 back in 1970s.

Has the 512 just been given the GT Award? It takes six months to model and would be ready by March.
 
The NSX LM would definitely fit right in as not quite a GT1 (It even sort of resembles the NSX-R GT1 Turbo), given that it comes with a cool homologation special (something no other LM car in the GT series had).
Watching Gran Turismo's LM cars progress over the years and iterations has been an interesting one. GT4's iteration of the NSX LM, was my favourite version of the NSX LM. I know it first appeared in GT1 as an exact replica of the kunimitsu NSX GT2, then appearing as several RM versions for the then modern NSX in Gran Turismo 2, and then disappearing in GT 3 altogether. Whatever way it made its way into the games, I believe it’s always been designed to be a GT2 class car in the if I'm not mistaken. This is a contrast to the S2000 GT1 LM in GT 2, which literally was a GT1 spec race car, then turned into a GTS spec car in GT 3 before then finally becoming a touring car in GT 4 where it has remained. It’s a similar story for the RX7 LM cars. The RX7 LM uses the same form for GT3 and 4 -which is my favourite look aesthetically- being a GTS spec car in GT 3, then spec’d to a GT2 car in GT 4. I believe it was intended as a direct rival to the NSX LM, RX8 LM (give or take), and BMW M3 GTR in GT 4.

Interestingly I think the FTO was transformed to imitate the current DTM platform at the time. It went under yet another transformation from GT 3 and if I can remember the GT 4 iteration is the only version in the series to feature the 'Super Touring' title in it's name.

Heh if I didn't know PD.

I wouldn't mind there being a limited number at first, just as long it's not a stump like GT5, and that updates further down the line add more road cars to be eligible for the wide body feature regardless. I'm hopeful for that at least since we are well into the era of interactive DLC, and if found lacking at first it should technically be on the list to benefit from that.

Mmm, making it the method to obtain the Gr.3 road cars from it seems logical. I do hope it proves to be a creative aero feature, I just genuinely want PD to surprise me here.:cheers:

Fingers crossed that the Toyota Minolta 88C-V finally comes to GT7 alongside some of the returning cars......
I know it may be a somewhat unpopular opinion, but I think the 88C-V should be replaced with the TS010, especially given how many TS-series race cars have appeared in the GT series. I bet the GR010 will come to it, too. The return of the TS020 seems incredibly likely, as well, and I would be very surprised if it didn't end up in Gr.1.

On another note, I wonder if we'll get the first two generations of Supra at some point? I know we're getting the A70, A80 and A90, but it'd be nice to have the entire lineup. Speaking of historic lineups, I'm pleased to see the KPGC10 in GT7, but it'd be even better to see the C110 alongside it, so that we could have every single Skyline GT-R. Then we could eventually get Skylines without the GT-R label, like the BLRA-3, the R30, and R31.

there were two specimens with carbirator or electronic injection on GT5-6 it was renamed I.E but is actually called Panda 1000S 45 HP is a bit low but it can be one of those Italian cars that, together with the Fiat Uno, had a great success in the 80-90s.
the Fire engine combined with a gearbox derived from subaru CVT and something unique about a Panda 1000S can coexist with the 112 Abarth if it is ever reintroduced.
