I am at the end of my rope as they'd say...

I'm currently still in the GT Academy and while attempting to set times, my 1.5-2 year old G27 Logitech wheel broke and I am no longer able to be competitive without a wheel. I have an extended warranty, but no Best Buy in Oregon has one in stock............. If there is anyone out there who may be able to "help" me somehow please contact me. My M3 can get me places fast and would be more than willing to drive "dang near anywhere" to make this happen. I have many things for collateral to "guarantee" no funny business is taking place. Thanks in advance to any who may be able to assist.

MODS - (This is a double post and not intending to break rules but I'm freaking out, sorry in advance if you "have to remove")

I have a broken G27 sitting in my basement. I'm not sure how the wheel comes off, but I could probably send you just the wheel. I'm in Canada so don't know what the shipping cost would be.

Edit: Same as dark_ruffo asked, I for some reason assumed it was just the steering wheel that broke as I've heard of that happening. Is it the whole wheel or just the steering wheel that broke?

I'm "assuming" it's something with the steering column/shaft inside the assembly.... The steering wheel is still attached to the "base(where the motor is)" but the wheel "freely" spins even while plugged in with power and USB and game on. When it calibrate's, the wheel doesn't move(the light flashes on the gate shifter assembly like normal) at all and there is a "small noise" coming from inside the assembly.... Sounds like "binding."

I just got off the phone with Best Buy "corporate" and there is just no way that they are going to be able to send me the wheel "in time" to stay in the competition of GT Academy with my G27. I think my only shot is going to be to go buy a DFGT and then run through the S.O.P with Best Buy..... :scared:

Thanks for the response(s) and offer(s).

Feel free to closee this down mods, game over.

I know this is probably pretty obvious, but have you checked all your connections to the underside of the unit and to the wall and ps3? I've also heard of people having similar issues and replacing some of the cables with new ones solved the problem.

Good Luck.

I have, and thanks for the advice. Nothing is "out of line" regarding this, I double checked them and they are fine.... Unfortunately.

Buuuuuuuuuut.....

A friend in Salem, OR just posted on my Facebook wall in regards to my "SOS" which I posted on there also. This picture is of a race sim he "just had built" by a friend locally. I am headed there tomorrow with my PS3 to attempt to improve, it's not a G27 but I have seen a lot of the "front runners" posting that they are using this wheel anyways.. Maybe I'll be faster. Thanks to all that have given recommendations for this tough spot !
