INDEX OF SERIES INFO

1 Practice
Please practice as much as possible in our community club lobby on Public,
as we can then recruit new entrants and also as practice with other club members helps us all become familiar with each other and they can help with car setups.

Event organisers have the right to change any rules or settings in the event of circumstances and fairness
2 Race Rules
The stewards spend many hours planning to make this series run as fair & smoothly as we can,
for this we need your cooperation.

To post race incidents to be reviewed as follows.....

Race incidents
must be reported on the forum within 24 hours of the race finishing.
These will be reviewed by only those stewards who are not in anyway involved.

Incident reports.
Any driver that has or witnesses any
contact / unfair aggressive / reckless / regular short cutting - with intent, that would be deemed unsportsmanlike and not a genuine mistake
can be reported on the forum within 24 hours of the race finish.

This must not be in any way to blame or explain, it will only ask the stewards to review.

This is the format of the report

-------------------------------

Incident between ? and ?
Lap ?
Turn ?

-------------------------------

Thats all.

This will allow the stewards to look without prejudice at the incident.
It will be important that stewards review and decide fair or foul within 48 hours of the race as
Penalties given may be reflected in a points penalty or a drop of places for the race start.
Incidents will be reviewed by the stewards and any penalties will be posted by Wednesday night.

When posting an incident report, please only do so if the outcome is worth reporting.
If the car that contacts you is out of control or contact is made unintentionally
then we cannot penalise the offending driver.
Only incidents where there is clearly Intent to overtake or bully without regard for the
other driver or generally driving in a manner that is deemed ungentlemanly or short cutting regularly.

Most of us are not mega fast, but we always try to be fair and that needs to be very important and understood.

Outside Track limits
Any driver that runs outside the track limits with all 4 wheels must lift off completely from the throttle and wait until a minimum of 2 wheels are back inside the track limits before using the throttle pedal.
The track limits are defined by the white line running around both edges of the track.
This will be to stop the cutting of corners and running wide.
The kerbs are outside the white track limit lines and are not part of the track.

The only exception to this rule will be made if a car is forced by another car outside or they are avoiding an accident.

If your car runs very wide and you have no momentum to rejoin the track without using the throttle you are permitted to do so if your car speed falls below 30mph 48kph and you can only then gain a speed of 30mph 48kph until 2 wheels are inside the track limits.

Any driver that does not adhere to the rules will face penalty points for each incident.

Pit Entry & Exit lines must also be adhered to at all times possible.

Driving standards and points penalties

NO DRIVER MUST DRIVE IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION

NO DRIVER CAN ENTER THE PITLANE BEFORE HIS SCHEDULED PIT CLOSED TIME LIMIT.

This is a Zero contact series, as with damage on, even a little nudge can lead to a huge loss of time with damage.

All drivers will be expected to drive with due care and consideration to other drivers.

Bumping cars ahead and causing them to run wide or rubbing alongside cars and forcing them to run wide and gaining any advantage must be rectified by giving back any position gained.

Overtaking

It will be the responsibility of the overtaking driver to ensure there is no contact between cars at any time.
If a driver forces another car off the track by attempting an overtake and then leaves no room for the car being overtaken to continue will be penalised.
If a driver being overtaken clearly weaves or moves to block and causes contact there will be heavy penalties.
All drivers must ensure that they do all they can to avoid contact.
The driver ahead must always give room to a car that is 1/4 length or more alongside going into a corner.

All avoidable accidents reported will be reviewed and will points deducted at the stewards discretion.

Being lapped
Cars being lapped should always allow the leading cars through to battle without interference.
Even if running at their pace, let them through then follow.
Drivers can un lap themselves if they feel they can pass and clear the leaders without interference.

ERAZERS TUNE ADJUMENTS

ERAZERS TUNE GUIDLINES

if its too loose for you, increase rear dowbforce a bit
If its still too loose under acceleration, decrease LSD acceleration sensitivity
If its still too loose under braking, increase LSD deacceleration
If its still too loose, increase initial LSD (I do not recommend this, as it kills rotation)

Max ride height: more grip and traction, but slow top speed and acceleration.
Min ride height: less grip, but better top speed and acceleration.
This means that max front and min rear gives more rotation.

Max spring rate: less grip, but reacts to steering input faster, thus giving you more turn in and control.
Min spring rate: more grip, but reacts to steering input slower, thus giving you less turn in and control.
This means that min front and max rear gives more rotation.

dampers react the same way as springrate, but its much better to keep dampers at 1 and adjust springrate instead. as long as you dont go to extreme values, dont bother with the game's instructions that dampers should be adjusted accordingly to springrate. (it is very true in real life, but in GT6 its not needed).

Max ARB gives more grip.
Min ARB gives less grip.
ARB is interesting though, because if lowering a ARB, the grip increases on that axle, but if you lower both axles, the total grip is lower, not higher...

Camber delays the grip, just as in real life, but in contrast to real life, it does not get better when under load.
So 0/0 is pretty much always prefered, only exception is heavily understeering cars, then you can use rear camber to make the rear step out to get it to slide a little, but its a last resort, if everything else fails.

Toe is great for adjusting car behavior.
negative front toe increases rotation, but can make the car behave wierd on turn in
positive front toe reduces rotation, but makes it smoother on entry.

negative rear toe increases rotation (heavily), a huge benefit on entry and mid turn, but it can kill traction out of corners. all FWD cars will benefit from this as they dont need rear traction. 4WD will also benefit from this because of their great traction capabilities. The Chapparall 2J is another car that needs huge ammount of negative rear toe, due to its fan system giving it traction.
positive rear toe kills rotation, but helps with stability

Short rear toe guide:
FWD: -1.00
4WD -1.00 - -0.60
Stable RWD cars: -0.60 - 0.00
unstable RWD cars 0.00 - +0.30

Aero:

NOTE:
Aero and gears will always need to be adjusted to each track. I always use stock aero and gears for testing, but would adjust accordingly for each track.

move final drive to center position on SLS 4000
then only by moving max speed slider get it so 6th gear is nearest you can get above 1000
then move all gears manually to the right as far as they go.
then only adjust the final drive gear for top speed.

I moved your original thread here to maintain discussions of those that have already expressed interest.

I'll lock this one and delete it in an hour or so. If there's anything you want moved just let me know.

Put me as a reserve for this season logic. I'd love to be fully committed to the series, Mercedes is a cool car, but I'm currently committed to another series, alongside having quite a bit of real life stuff to sort out at the moment! I'll try to do the odd race if/when I can! Have fun with the series! I'll be following the results closely! :) Good luck to everyone! See you on track soon.

Hey Stephen, did I read your car color right, lime and not pink? I don't know if I can handle chasing lime and not pink this season.
I can race full time again. My work schedule changed to the evening shift, I have my mornings open now. :)

Thats great stuff TNT really pleased.

Yes i have changed to Lime as our GTPSS entry is Pink.

I've just seen that you've changed the race time to 17:15 uk time. I will never be able to race at that time on a weekday as I'm still at work! Normally get home around 18:00 uk time :(

So there isn't much point in having me as a reserve for this series. Hopefully I can race with you guys again in the near future before I go away! Good luck with the series! See you on track soon!
