Strange things happen in european series

I played European Series twice with a Skyline-gtr, which got 1000HP.
The first time, there is a very very fast car in the race, My car didn't stand a chance to win anyone of the 5 races.
The second time I play it with the same car, nothing strange happened; every car is slow, and I won the race.

I think this is an program error. Did anyone see this before?  
 
I have noticed the same thing in other races as well.  Good days......bad days........the game would be to steral and programmed if every race had the same computer cars running.  I've also noticed that there will also be different cars intoduced in the same race.
