Today I started to test street cars to get a better impression of their strenghts and overall performance. I know there are plenty of other people who already did this but I didn't see anyone using the Nordschleife :-) A bit weird as it is the best track to test the vehicles in both handling and straight line speed. As we all know: A fast car on the Nordschleife is (almost) everywhere atleast competitive.

Same condition for every car:

-No driving aids (except ABS)
-Stock (No BoP)
-Sport Hard tires
-Driven with DS4

Laps marked with a * were driven by another person :-) Fast drivers are getting honored

Note that right now some laptimes from older and newer updates were mixed so some cars might be faster now than indicated by the chart.

God, what a beast that 911 is. The times are fairly comparable with real world times with that new one getting a 6'57"?

Considering that the real life lap time of the 991.1 GT3 RS is at 7:20 whereas the 991.2 version clocked in at 6:56. The 911 is a total beast at N Class, only being outclassed by the likes of the LaFerrari and Veyron. What more if it was tuned? :sly:

Just a suggestion: The OP should also mention what peripherals he's using (wheel or DS4) because that could also be a factor.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: I am really happy that some are taking N Class cars seriously. Whenever I open N class lobbies, almost none of the players come in compared to race car lobbies. N class cars are unique in their own way, and that they truly test your skill.

Good to see others testing N-cars on other tracks. How many laps do you complete for each car? The reason why I don't test at the Ring is because if I have a perfect lap and ruin it at the last corner, I'd probably smash my TV lol the laps are too long. Do you save your best lap replays? Upload them to the server with a unique tag so I can check them out sometime.

I run around 3 laps per car. Yes I saved every single replay but somehow it failed at the GT3 RS's. But nevermind I will change my testing procedure to Sport Hards anyway ;-)

I took stock F1 to Nordschleife with Sports Soft and did 7:06 lap, 20 seconds faster than my previous best attempt i had months ago (7:26). I guess i am a better driver now than i was before

6:58 on Sports Hard on LaF? With no ill thoughts, but those times smell a bit fishy. Maybe you should link the replays or smth? Because i am very curious

You can see my lap on my profile in GT Sport.

Stole the layout of MidFieldMaven as it looks much more structured. Also tested the MR2, which currently is my favorite handling beast in N200. Awesome cornering speed and almost no understeer. I like :-)

And I just added our first N400 car: The Aston V8 Vantage S. Impressive car with lots of corner grip. Indeed very unexpected performance

Bella Macchina! I love the Huracán and its time is only 2 seconds off the OP GT3 RS but... I never got such a headache at testing a car. Well, the line between perfect balance and understeer is extremely small in this car. To get the best time, you really have to use the AWD to its fullest potential at the corner exit :-)

Mind giving the McLaren 650S a go when you get a chance? I tried it before the handling update and the thing was sliding everywhere, would be really interested to see what you get

I sat down and I'm really surprised. The 650S felt really stiff during my first lap but afterwards, I kinda like the way the car behaves as it is really smooth and chilled. I would even say it is easier to drive at the limit than the GT-R NISMO or especially the NSX.

I understand there are a whole lot of variables involved when comparing game times to real life times but the Diablo is a good 40 seconds faster in game (It did a 8:04 IRL). Wonder if PD screwed up the performance data of the Diablo seeing how other cars did better. I know GT isn't the most realistic game out there but 40 seconds is quite a large margin.

Hmm, I wonder if it's because of tire choice. When the Diablo was created the "SH" equivalent isn't quite the same as current "SH" tires, since technology moved on and such

I'm not quite sure what tires would be fitted for that car though. CS maybe? To get closer to the real life time?

Yeah, it must be the tires which improved between those years. Or it is really the inaccuracy of the Diablo's performance. If someone has one of these babies IRL, please consider taking it on the Nordschleife with modern semi-slicks :-)

Jokes aside, many people said the Diablo itself was very hard to drive. Hard steering, rough gearbox... The game will never be able to simulate the car 100% but as Alpha Cipher said: 40secs is way too much

Update 1.28 is here so to celebrate this I decided to take the 997 GT3 out for a run. It really deserves the name as it can keep up with much more powerful cars like the 2017 NSX. One of my favorite vehicles right now :-)

Another track toy: the good ol' NSX Type R. Well, Senna developed this beauty so the expectations were high. I was quite sure that it would beat the R34 but I was wrong. Still it feels amazing to drive and the handling really is outstanding. It needs more powaaaa though

Finally got the time to test the 996 GT3. Feels softer than the newer Porsches but much easier to drive. Perfect street car for beginners who intend to master RWD cars.

I was curious how the Alfa Giulia TZ2 would perform with SH tires. It eats corners and even in a straight line it is not too shabby. 10 million credits? Worth it (especially for the sound around 5k rpm o_O)!

Hot hatch time! The Golf GTI is here and sets a great time for a FF vehicle. Totally brilliant brakes and very smooth handling with slight understeer. Also a very fast double clutch gearbox.

Added the BMW M4. Definitely not easy to handle for new comers. It has a very small limit in which you can operate without heavy oversteer. Anything above it is getting punished.
