With a small group of other kids and one adult, I've been given the task of designing and building a tower built solely put of wood and glue. It must hold 15 KG and weigh as little as possible (under 30 grams at the LEAST).

Since it takes about three weeks to build and test a single tower, I was thinking I could save us some time by finding a good structural analysis program where I can simply draw up my design (in 3-D), input the properties of the wood I'll be using (most likely balsa wood), and then the program will show me how much force it'll take to break it and perhaps make suggestions to the design.

Does anyone know of any good preferably free softwares? I'd prefer FHA I wouldn't need to learn the software too much. I don't want to spend TOO much time figuring it out. So it needs to have an easy to use UI.
