Well.. Today coming back from my mom's office (my sister and I had to go pick her up), we met a ~ 20 adult with a friggin fart cannon on a Toyota Corolla - the "AE86" of america. This kid had the tofu sign and everything! It was TRUELY hilarious... what's even more funnier is that, I looked at his car. He revs like hell, and his fart cannon falls RIGHT OFF the car.

That is something that I would kill to get on tape. Its one of those movies that everyone on the internet would end up seeing just because it'd be so hilarious.

Sounds like the typical rice boy mentality.
Lets attach this muffler with clamps and see if it stays on.
Geez, what next.

Whoa there lets not get carried away...the coralla is definatly not the greatest car.

But ya some of these kids have no idea what they are doing...its not that hard to take your car to a shop and let them do it.

just cause it doesn't go fast in a straight line doesn't disqualify it for "the greatest car". every car was built for different driving conditions. anyway, IMO the hachi is the greatest/well balanced car ever to go into production:tup:

Oh boy.. Initial D fanboy.. Or at least I think..

The Corolla AE86 was definitly not the best car. I know it's just an opinion, but I think many of us can say that it is not the greatest car to ever go into production.

and I'd love to see the can fall off the damned toyota, just so I could do fun of both, the car and the idiot who's drivin such.

 star wars geeks.. ah... hahahaha

The can was hilarious though.. The car just drove off like nothing had happened... and the damn can that came off was HUGE, and i mean, HUGE. It fell and make a hugeass, CLANK sound... he must be deaf...

 no, not an initial d fanboy... i love auto-x, road racing, and touge so i perfer balance over hp. i made a mistake in my last post; i meant to say "greatest car to come off of the toyota assembly line" and i know others will argue it isn't but i'm entitled to my oppinions just like you are to yours.

and for the record, i'm tired of drifting being directly related to initial d... hasn't everybody herd of option or bestmotoring yet?

I dont really have anything against the trueno. it looks good and I know its very well balanced, there was one (ODDLY, over here in mexico, where toyota came two years ago) in a place I used to live at, and it was very cool. it looked exactly as the one you get at GT3, right down to the dark red color and those ugly-ass wheels. what I hate is how the complete crop of idiots rice this things out as drift cars. if you upgraded yer Trueno and made it a road racer, it would be another story completely, but lately it seems that Trueno and stupidity... sorry, drifting, are sinonimous. same happen with the poor silvia. such a DANGED COOL car and look what it gets turned to. an useless car. If I had one, blam! complete road racer! but that will never happen :D it just annoys me, just as it annoys me to see muscle cars turned into complete dragsters, loosing their streetability. nothing like a complete, all-around car. hey, if I dig drag cars is beacuse I am into the hot rodding scene, but if you ask me what I would do with ANY car, Id make a corner carver/road racer. a danged powerful one. immediately.

Just because we are from the US (or around it), doesnt mean we soley base our opinions on cars, based on straight line performance. Anyway, it would be fitting to talk about staight line performance, and top speed in the US, as our Highways and Interstates were made to be as long and straight as possible, with very little turns, and the ones that are, usually are big turns.

I think the Corolla/Trueno is alright, though I'd rather have a Camaro SS (even though its more expensive, yadda yadda), which is more fitting to american roads. If you look at Germany's Autobahn, it is long, good for fast cars, but there are lots of big sweeping turns that hug the countryside (its a nice view). But at 200 mph, those turns seem pretty sharp...

If you're wondering why I think it's one of the greatest cars... just look at my sig. My dad's Trueno is pushing well over 600ps with a 3S-GTE, mine has a 20-valve 4A-GELU pushing 209ps, and my best friend's Levin uses the Formula Atlantic 4A-G that makes abour 230ps. My dad has never lost to anyone in his car... I've only lost to a BNR32. My best friend doesn't race on passes anymore but he was good. I don't really want to go into detail about it, but check out the "I Need A Ae86" topic in the GT3 Drifting board...

oh, on a modded one, hell yeah, I would think too that a 86 buick electra or a 56 allard would be the greatest of cars if they pushed 600 too... if we are up to that point, every car in the world could be done into the greatest car, just some more difficultly than others, but the potential is indeed there.

as for go to the drifting forum, NE-VER.
