Hey Everyone,

So bear with me if I get some of the terminology wrong as I'm pretty new to racing.

I am looking for a cockpit that I can pack away, I have looked at the challenge and GT lite etc.. but 1. i don't find them aesthetically pleasing, 2. I'm 195Cm and 105KG and they weren't very comfy for me either.

So I don't need a full collapsible rig as I have a space of 1 meter by 1 meter that I can move it to when not in use, so what I am looking for is something where I can separate at the mid point and put the wheel, pedals and that part of the frame on the seat, like on top of it. (Hope I've explained that well.

I like the look of the playseat trophy and wanted to know if it has quick release on the frame?

The Playseat Evo Pro seemed to fit the bill as it looks like I can easily unscrew at the mid point and fold the seat down?

Any recommendations would be amazing - thank you

I can't speak for the Playseat Trophy but I will champion the Next Level Racing GT Lite. I know you said you didn't find it aesthetically pleasing and don't necessarily need a folding rig, but it is very good and doesn't need to be folded down as the pedals tuck nicely underneath.

I'm 115kg and 185cm and it's plenty comfortable for longer sessions, there's a lot more space for the pedals to move back as well for taller drivers.

My experience with Playseat stuff is that it isn't as well built as Next Level or GT Omega stuff, so I'd personally question the premium price over the GT Lite or the GT Omega Sprint for smaller options, and even the GT Omega ART flex bundle is cheaper than the Trophy and much nicer.

If you really don't want to go for the Next Level lite range, then the Next Level Victory would also be a good option. Looks more cockpit like than the Lite models and is still very compact, and a good chunk of change cheaper than any Playseat option.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm based in Dubai so I'm a bit limited on what I can get and I don't think Omega are available here.

I sat in the Next Level and the challenge yesterday and I was just a bit tall with the headrest part of it making it uncomfortable.

I've got some time to find one as I'm rubbish and just need to learn to stay on the track at the moment!!!! So will be able to keep going round and finding the right one.

Playseat Trophy seemed to fit well for me as I can store upright in the place I have but it's very expensive for what it is. I can't believe it's the same price as the Playseat F1 Edition Instinct

My other options are:

Next Level Racing GT Racer V2 for just over half the price but I'm not sure if I can store upright - This looks great though
Next Level Victory is 100 quid cheaper but doesn't look as great as V2 or the Trophy and also not sure if it stores upright

Yeah it's tricky when you're limited on where you can buy and what space you have.

One thing I will say, is trying not to get too hung up on looks. For the criteria you need in particular, it isn't important and when you're sitting in it, how it looks doesn't matter. 👍
