This is where we put our driving skills to the test, every 2 weeks a car will be chosen to take on a race in the
    POLYPHONY DIGITAL CUP.
Some other cars that can't be tuned will be used as well, so from time to time those cars well be picked and raced at another event/track.
As you can't tune vehicles in this event, it focuses on our driving ability not our tuning ability.
The winner from the previous round gets the right to choose the next car.
Send in pictures of your times to compete

I got the idea for this challenge from the GREASE MONKEY event in the AI HUB, as it was such a success i thought why not do a whole thread on it.

Please go over and see @photonrider and the gang and compete in the AI HUB as well.

Quick question, BB adjustments allowed? Bit hard using BB of 5 and 5 with ABS off and using the [] button.

With ABS off the brakes lock easily I dropped the setting to 2 and 3 but found it still locked at the end of braking in the rear so flipped it and lowered to 2 and 1.

For me having ABS off changes the handling of the car makes it more 'alive' on corner entry.
Which is better depends on what you want. Quick times from the off, using racing brakes or using most set ups on GTPlanet then ABS on 1 is the way to go.
If you want a slightly different handling car and want to be a little more involved in the braking process then ABS off.
Give the C1 and 300SL tune from Elegance Automotive Guild a go. Driving them was my first experience using ABS off.

@RMan72 I tried ABS 0, my first lap i was like :scared:. Played with the BB, 1/2 was best for me. I did a better time with it. I think this is the best I can do.

What's your thoughts on this car?
I found it a lot better than I expected, being a TVR I thought it was going to all over the place.

I found it quite tame for a TVR, running stock cars is always fun.

You like running with ABS 0? You see any difference in handling?

I like driving stock cars to.

I didn't mind no ABS, still need more practice I think. I found out very quickly that it locks up if you spend to long on the brakes, i needed to brake a bit sooner than normal, also I found that if you get it right I slides nicely into the corner and you don't lose any momentum. It was a lot easier then I thought it was going to be, once I got the setting right. I think I would struggle on the higher powered cars?

ABS off makes the car really come alive - though I have to add that running ABS off on cars that technically are produced with ABS is kind of modifying the car.
How I handle ABS off is to 'pump' the brake pedal. You can't 'stand on the brakes' like one can do with full ABS functioning - a real car 'judders' when you stomp on ABS brakes.
So what I do, when I have ABS off (usually I'm running at TCS1/ABS 1) is to pump the brakes in a way imitating the ABS - manually.
ABS off does make the car a whole different animal - quite a thrill to drive - and unless one is really trying to clip milliseconds of a TT ABS off does make a race very exciting.

On occasion, though, one may have to change their pants after an ABS off race - if you're driving the Cizeta for instance. :D

Everything seems good but not enought as gladiator prove ......
My best time was 0.4 lower than yours ,usualy am in 1.2 low and hights , the last corner is the key here, how not loose speed and hit the gas without sliding.
From what i see you can have more top speed in finish line .
Usualy am fast when i have to use the kerb at the left ,

About my record I don't have replay.

I lapped mid 1:00.xxx and a good first lap is mandatory, something around 1:01.5xx.
Tsukuba is a very technical circuit for which pad and wheel driving are completely different.
I performed several TTs on this circuit and a good experience is fundamental to drive fast harpins and large turns as the final one.
Driving by pad a mid-powered FR car as TVR I would recommend as follows:
    - hairpins: min distance trackline with "cusp" shaping
    - first turn: not to close trackline trying to accelerate as soon as possible.
    - last turn: there are several way to be fast but with pad i prefer to brake quite late, partitioning until the middle then go go go crossing the fingers
    - right turn before Dunlop bridge: key turn in which brake early is the better approach.

More in general an unbalanced brake setting (e.g. 7/4) for FR car would help a lot but is out of this challenge requirement.

    Hope this helps in someway.

    Ciao

PS: for racetime under 5min should be necessary to lap under 1min...
