* Guaranteed prize car means it's a fixed reward for a certain event/activity. There are some prize cars which are selected from a choice of three by the player, so these are not included as different people will receive different cars. Cars awarded via the roulette are also naturally not included in this value

Any corrections to the completed list also welcome but again, no need to mention if a car in your used dealer is a few thousand different. Only mention if I've made a complete error in a car price.
I'm so close... yet I'm ages away from collecting all the cars. I don't want to use a script because then I'll have nothing to work towards, but I'm at 417-cars out of 433. But those remaining 16-cars combine to $187.3 million dollars... an average off $11.7 million per remaining car... which sucks TBH

From a pure grinding perspective (which I simply can't do because I'd stop enjoying the game) just to see what I'm up against, I'll assume the Tokyo race, finishing on average 26-mins (sure, I average 25.5, but whatever). That comes out to $1,904,000/Hr.
$187,300,000 / $1,904,000 = 98.4-races; 99-races rounding up. (99-races * 26-mins) / 60-mins = 42.9-hours of straight driving time not including menu's, oil changes etc. Going the Sardegna route, add on 5.6-hours for a total of 48.5-hours of straight drive time.

I've played this game more than almost any previously (I'm a dad, husband and have a demanding job) and per GT website stats, I've played just shy of 92-hours. Depressing to be honest

Bah!! Why like this!!

In 5 months you've earned Cr 279 Million and only need Cr 188 Million more. At the same rate it will take you only 3.4 months, so you'll be finished before the end of November..... Several years before GT8 is released. Or even earlier if they allow us to sell cars (as promised at retail).

You better hope they add a DLC before November, or you'll have so much spare time you'll have to try learning piano again!!

Or ...he could play other games. Most people don't play the same game for years.

Yes he could play other games, but I'm sure you don't really mean "Most people don't play the same game for years", particularly in relation to Gran Turismo. It seems to me like that's exactly what the majority of people do. There's still an active forum for Gran Turismo 2!!! And for how many years did you play Sonic/Mario/MortalKombat/Gran Turismo Sport?

Maybe you meant "Most people don't play ONLY ONE game for years"?

Personally Gran Turismo is the only game I play, and the only reason I bought a PlayStation, but yes I'm sure the majority of people have many other games to play, as was the essence of your comment.

No, I do. You know what the word majority means, right? I've no doubt a lot of people, in pure numbers, will still be playing GT7 in 4 years. The majority won't. That's true for any game.

Coming back to a game years later is different and even so, how many people played GT2 this year? A tiny minority compared to how many it sold.

This is the only reasonable article I could find on the subject....
https://www.blog.udonis.co/mobile-marketing/mobile-games/player-lifespan

Which mentions "Different games come with lifespan differences. According to Department of Play, hyper-casual game lifespans vary from 1 to 5 weeks.

On the other hand, the lifespan in mid-core games is way longer – often even over 12 months’ time."

No doubt you are right, in relation to the word "majority" (actually you said "Most people" which technically would need a majority proportion of the total population of the world, even if they never owned a PlayStation.... Lol... Sorry), so definitely your statement is statically correct!!

Jokes aside, I would be interested to see the player lifespan statistical distribution for the Gran Turismo series specifically.

Amen to that. I think we all would. I’d love to see loads of data on these games. How many people are doing sport mode right now? How many sport mode ‘users’ use the same PS4/5 as each other (ie alt accounts)? Do people who bought PS4/5 Anniv Ed count as two separate sales? And on and on and on. By not (ever) releasing this data is Sony hiding something?

Ah, you're assuming I'd keep up the rate that I've played the game in the past would keep up over time. It pains me to know that this game is getting harder and harder to load up or to keep playing longer sessions - especially when I catch **** for playing "too much" from my wife as it is lol. I better enjoy the game a lot with that being the case.

I, like so many on this forum, are holding on to faith that PD can "fix" the economy - as in adding more high paying races/championships to spread out our time. I don't play Sport mode, so aside from their valid complaints, this game ISN'T BROKEN! It's beautiful, engaging and almost endless fun - just being held back from truly awful game design and choices.

I’m on 314/433… The good news is I am done buying cars in LCD and UCD… so all the overpriced cars are done in LCD… Now I just have to shift my focus on Brand Central… Didn’t count the amount of cars but I have 37 million left to buy the expensive cars that range from 1-3 million each…Right now I am currently at 27 million… Just 10 million left to buy the expensive cars and then I can focus on the cheaper cars in Brand Central…I would say I would finish by next month… My guess is 3-4 more weeks of grinding…

Oh, you should be done much sooner than that! LCD is like more than half (prob 2/3rds) of the total credit amount needed. I'm in opposite position (only LCD cars left) with 418/433 cars, but probably like $175M left to spend...

If possible, I would like to go even further with all of this, and also add the total costs of wheels, paints, GT Auto parts and tuning.

This is a lot harder because the price of tuning and GT Auto parts are different depending on the car, not to mention the quantity of tuning parts as well. But I believe it can be done, and with all this, we get an even more accurate value of the credits we need (or can) spend on the game.

I could certainly do this, but if I had help from some of you, it would make things a lot easier.

Sounds like a job for an Excel spreadsheet.

Edit: probably it's arbitrary anyway, because you don't always buy all the upgrades... Like nitrous? Carbon brakes? New Engine.

I just noticed that the tyres are also different depending on the car. Racing Softs for say an LMP1 car costs like 47k while Racing Softs for a normal road car costs like 37k...

The only thing that is priced the same for all cars is NOS, at 100k. But even then there are some cars that can't get tuned with NOS.
If every car could get NOS, that would be an extra 43.3 million. Just on NOS alone.

If you're up to the task! Although, I think the end goal is to satisfy a small wonder of what's the theoretical value of buying all cars and all parts in the game. While I'm curious too, the thought of the amount of time that it would take to complete such a task, it just doesn't seem to be worth it. Lord knows the amount of time I've spent in Excel figuring out how to model something only to do so and think, "how can I utilize this outside this specific need?" or "what insight does this give me" lol

Already started, it took more time creating the tables/sheets, and I only did the Abarth and Alfa Romeo cars, 12 cars. I looked at the clock and it took me more than half an hour... And this is thanks to the PS5 loading times.

Yeah... Not going to finish this anytime soon. Tomorrow if I have more free time I'll do the Alpine and Aston Martins (18 cars). By September I'll have everything finished

And by the way, since I've finished pricing some cars, I'll add here that the most expensive one, so far, to FULLY tune is the 8C Competizione, at 755.750 credits.
And the least expensive one is the 4C Gr.3/Gr.4 at 320.100 (these are basically race cars).

This is taking into account every single part, all tyres, street parts, sports, semi-racing, racing, extreme and GT Auto parts (wide body and custom parts like front splitters, side skirts, diffusers and wings). This doesn't include liveries or any other cosmetic upgrades.

It's possible to go with just the logical upgrade tunes but it would've taken a ton of time for me to sort all of this on my excel sheet, not to mention some cars have turbos, the others have superchargers, some have none, it would just be really time consuming to sort everything up so I've just gone with all the parts.

I'm very intrigued now lol. I pray they don't decide to apply an economy update that changes the prices!!

Very unlikely. As unlikely it also is to change car prices.

The only and reasonable way to change the economy is the event payouts. 20 million credit cars wouldn't be considered that expensive if you could get 4-5 million per hour end-game.

But... I sure hope they don't do those changes, I would be... a bit mad to say the least.

PS: I forgot to consider the Roll Cage. That also increases PP, yet, for some reason it doesn't increase weight... PD should take a look at this, they go as far as being so specific on engine weights when engine swapping after all.

Or at least it changes the PP. On some of the older/lighter cars, it decreases PP.

As for the engine weight, PD only considered overall weight, not the change in balance. Putting the K20 into the 1965 Mini should make it even more front-heavy, but it doesn't.

I do have an Excel spreadsheet with the upgrade prices of the 332 cars I own between the two accounts I'm running if you're interested.

Regardless, the roll cage does in fact affect performance, so it should be considered regardless and it does give the car more stability.

As for the excel spreadsheet you have, do you have the prices for every single individual part of each car? Or just the total? If it's the former, yes, I would definitely appreciate that. And would probably put some effort into finishing the other cars more quickly to have the complete list.

Every single part from both the tuning shop and GT Auto (racing items and body parts, and widebody).

Well, thanks to Eggstor providing me his results, I was able to compile the results of 331 cars (he told me 332, but I missed one for some reason?) and the total price of the cars fully tuned to the brim is...

174.151.290 credits.

And I still have 102 (+3) cars to price.

I know that realistically, no one is going to fully tune all of the cars to the absolute max with all parts, but it's still a loooot more than what I was expecting. With the rest of the 105 cars, this is easily going to be about 220 million or whereabouts. Half the price of the price of the total cars themselves. Mind blown...

The most expensive car (so far) to fully tune is the Ferrari GTO (surprising to be honest) at 812.350 credits.

PS: This is not taking into account cosmetics like rims, liveries, paints.

I still need the Cobra Daytona, 250 GTO, Mclaren F1, and the old Alfa to if I want to complete the collection.

I'm tapping out I think.

For the last two cars I was waiting at least 20 days to show up.....I have 30 mil ready for 3 upcoming cars. ... I guess will be enough... but for sure I'll grind 100 mil. slowly... gl

Could the "missing" one be one of the cars with the same model name but different years (1972/2017 Alpine A110, 1971/1973 BMW 3.0 CSL, 1989/2003/2007 BMW M3-plus the 1989 BMW M3 Sport Evolution, 2015/2016 Renault Clio R.S. 220 Trophy, 2015/2021 Subaru BRZ S, 2007/2017 Suzuki Swift Sport, 2019/2020 Toyota GR Supra RZ)? I pulled the year out of the in-game model name and put it in a separate column (and also included the "hidden" year, visible only in the alternate view in the "Change Car" window, which I think affects 6-7 models of the 332).

It could also be the Suzuki VGT, which, other than tires (the most-expensive set) and the hydraulic handbrake, has no tuning/racing/aero parts. Also, I think I sent the wrong engine overhaul price for that car and for the Lamborghini Miura - it should be 100,000 Cr.

As for the upgrade costs of the cars I don't have, they're for most of the cars at/above 450,000 Cr., including 29 road cars and a couple of early racing cars. I expect all the parts will be in the most-expensive tier.

Don't sweat it... I probably deleted it by mistake and didn't notice. I was making a lot of changes so that was likely the cause. Regardless, I have all the cars in the game so I can check them all anyway.

I did notice an engine overhaul of 10.000 on the Suzuki VGT and Miura yes, I changed it to 100.000, as it was obvious you forgot a 0 there. Since these values do follow a pattern and 10.000 is not a price of any engine overhaul at all.
The price of the tuning parts also follow a pattern, and more than likely it is according to the overall price of the cars after a certain threshold.

I checked those combinations and I have them all. I think it was between some Lexus GT3/GT500 cars. Where your model names were different than some of mine. I am missing the RC F GT500 and the RC F au TOM'S Super GT (models in my sheet). And I'm sure you don't have one of these. You also had the Prototype which you simply had it has GT3 Prototype while I had it as GT3 Prototype Emil Frey Racing.

I don't have either of the Lexus GT500 models yet (the 2008 SC430 GT500 or the 2016 RC F GT500, the latter available in 2 different au Tom's schemes), or the Lexus VGT. The Lexus models I do have:
  • 2014 Lexus RC F
  • 2016 Lexus RC F GT3 prototype (Emil Frey Racing livery)
  • 2017 Lexus LC500
  • 2017 Lexus RC F GT3 (available in 2 different liveries)
  • Lexus RC F Gr.4
The two GT3s have identical parts/prices, while the Gr.4 has the high-RPM turbo (for 18,800 Cr.) instead of the low-RPM turbo, but otherwise has the same parts/prices as the GT3s.

As for the model names, except for stripping the year off the end, using English characters instead of non-English ones (I didn't feel like hunting through the ASCII map), the parenthetical notation that the pre-order version of the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept is listed in several menus as a "Stealth Model" (it shouldn't be the difference in the numbers; Brand Central and Car Collection treat it as the base model just like they treat the other pre-order/Anniversary Edition/Hagerty's bonus cars, so I don't have it as a separate entry) and any remaining typos, they are as is presented in the dealerships. That does vary somewhat from other sources, especially those created pre-launch.

One more thing to note - an engine swap will affect the engine-related prices/available parts in the tuning shop (those get set to the prices/availability from the donor car, and includes the "S" parts), but not the oil change/engine overhaul prices in GT Auto (those remain at the original prices).

Yep found the little bastard that was "hiding" away. Does that lextus (in large size font above) have an au TOM's livery and is it from 2016?

I had my list taken from someone else's at the game's launch. Can't tell if all cars have their model names exactly as in the game. ... I can check them but only once I have my garage a lot more empty, to do less clicking.

And for the engine swaps and their parts that you mention, I already knew that, but I'm only going to consider, for now, the original parts with no engine swaps.
We can grow the list further after we have all the data. I'm going to try to get the total price of just the parts necessary for the car to be fully tuned. For example, you can buy all sets of tyres for LMP1 cars (aside from dirt) but realistically, you are only going to be buying the racing and rain tyres.

You have the street suspension and the sports suspension, but realistically, you just buy the fully customizable racing transmission. And so on... Again, I'll only do this after I have all the data first.
