The Crew: Wild Run Edition

Agreed, I took a month off of the crew to play other games, namely Elite Dangerous. I had already won the BMW. Definitely time to jump back in now.

I think everyone does this at times,
One month play, One month off, One month play one month off.
I am just doing it every month until No Mans Sky.

That Ferrari is too good to pass up. Besides, after I miss a month of any good car game, I start to miss driving cars. I need to play the Crew, Forza 6, and FH2 soon, and get my driving fix satisfied.

Watched another hour of NMS gameplay, that game looks phenomenal.

Quick little update today.
Patch notes are here:
Hi everyone,

We will be performing a maintenance on Wednesday 4th May, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM (CEST) on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

This maintenance will allow us to improve the global stability of the servers as well as apply the following changes.

• Handling improvements for Street/Perf/Circuit motorbikes: Improved stability when braking.
• Fixing the issue that was causing motorbikes to occasionally move backwards when driving in manual mode.

Thank you for your understanding.

The Crew Team

Has car handling been improved in the last few months? A limb handling sensation was always my main issue with this game (played for 15+ hours anyway because I loved exploring the huge game world) but upon reinstalling today - given it another try for the third time :) - I'm having more fun even in freedriving.

I finally caved and bought Wild Run as well. Could only afford the KTM off road bike but so far it's been fun to drive in the canyon regions in dirt spec. Although I have not been able to keep up at all in the couple of dirt races I've tried against slightly lower ranked cars, and won instead with my dirt specced Ford Focus RS.

What I don't understand is: the cars which are available as prizes on the Summit will be released also on regular Car Dealer later on or are they available only via reward?

@Miths some cars got their handling changed, mainly Xtreme and Circuit specs.

It's 2 months of the car (So May/June) Will be the F40, then July the car will be in normal game for bucks/cc.
Since they should already have the Lotus, BMW (Bike) and the BMW car should be in during the patch this month.

I'm just upset that they cut out one of the time trials to bring in the stunt race. The summit is becoming less about racing and more about exploiting scoring systems.

Well I can safely say that I am at lease in the summit for this month.
Which I am not going to focus on doing the other qualifiers just because I always try to go for platinum during that time anyways for 2 reasons, #1 car #2, 20K CC.

Edit:
I can no longer figure out what time I can jump on and do the Highway child since they have had issues with the time bug. Which I just experienced today. Which is right about the time the new daily challenge comes out.

I just beat the Crew and I'm going for the platinum. Not sure if anyone else here wants some of the MP trophies, but if so, feel free to add me and mention that it's for The Crew. My PSN is Ahmed13

Game was pretty fun!

I'm away from the crew for a few days while I reacquaint myself with gt6 ahead of next Friday.
Have done the 3 qualifiers for the may summit.
Glad you enjoyed the game @Rizzy13 though you've only beaten the game if you've got all cars and all award points, and even then there's the skills to do, freedrive challenges, summit events,...

Yea that's true! I just have so much other stuff to play and I want to play dirt rally in the next month or so that, I feel that beating all the story missions along with a couple of other things means I "beat" the game lol. But you're right. In almost all racing games, I usually go above and beyond if I enjoy the game - doing side stuff, getting all the cars, etc. But I've already put like 60 hours into this game and there's so much more to play!!!

I only platinum games i enjoy, and I enjoyed this one, but it seems like it'll be tough to platinum it cuz of the MP trophies

So for you regular Crew guys, I'm max level, I beat the game day 2 of the game being out, missing quite a few cars, could probably grind MP and make some $$$ and buy more vehicles, but essentially, anything huge that's worth coming back for? Bikes are alright, summit is cool, etc. but kinda wishing they'd fine tune the game and just make it better in general or announce a new one. They did great with this title but it's feeling kinda dry.

Ferrari F40?
That's worth coming back, (For a bit) but I just log on, get my bonus, do the summit qualifier or summit, then log off. It's getting to the point where some awards are not unlocking and then you get a lot of other try hards, I am so glad that NMS is coming out next month.

If you haven't got all the awards can work for that, other than that, it's pretty much just Summit Qualifiers and Summit. Which gets me on about 3 times a week. (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday)

NMS?

I heard about that game sounds fantastic! Also Elite Dangerous, how's that?

I Love it, you can Dogfight/combat specialist, be a Trader, Miner, Explorer or a Smuggler in a massive open world and you can do all of this by yourself or with friends.

The game does have a very steep learning curve, I recommend to anyone who is interested in this game to watch most of the training videos and play most of the training missions before they even start a game in open or solo play, at least the basics, flying, landing, basic combat at a bare minimum, or they will have a rough beginning to the game. NMS looks like it will be much easier to pick up and play, hit a button to land sort of thing while Elite is a straight up space sim, you take off, land, do everything yourself.

Monthly patches for new content has kinda been halted for a few months (May/June) for the upcoming possible DLC for the crew shown at E3, So weekly maintenance still will happen with smaller minor updates. Enjoy the Ferrari F40.

Decided to reinstall it today after playing TDU2 for the last week or two.

First the I noticed was that everything is expensive and that the in game economy is terrible (can't decide whether it's as bad as TDU2 or worse).

Second thing I noticed was that the roads in the Crew are huge, each Lane is big enough for two SUVs side by side.

Third thing I noticed was the roads are all perfectly flat.

Overall, I think I'm going to try to hunt some AP and then go play something else. The roads are so boring in this, I've been just driving around for 4-6 hrs at a time in TDU2 but here... Eh.

#1, It's not as expensive as TDU2, Especially if you play faction wars, 352K for an hours work on Highway Child (If all other parts maxed) plus 100K if Rank 2 on Faction war ranking. Or 60K for 10 minutes of smashing boxes at the end of the month.

#2, You must be on the big highways around there, try going around in the mountains I am sure there are smaller roads.

#3, Again goes back to the mountains, Plains and the desert are mostly flat, Some hills around New York.
Mountains and around seattle has the best elevation change.

The Freeways in TDU2 are huge and no, you cannot fit two SUV's side by side in a lane in The Crew, that is a ridiculous statement. There are plenty of narrow roads on the map you just need to drive outside the cities a little. There are some wide roads, like the freeway that runs through the Salt Flats in Utah but there were plenty of roads like that In TDU2, I should know, I have over 1600 hours into that game.

The game economy was worse in TDU2, unless you owned the Casino DLC and played a lot of poker, which I did, and I still have a gazillion dollars in that game. I have about 4.5 million in TC, if you play this game consistently then money is not an issue. I own most of the cars and specs in the game, at least 80% of them anyway pretty soon I will run out of things to spend my money on.

Wait.... Another huge update is coming or something?

From what I have been reading they stopped updating every month right before e3 and then they showed Wild run coming.
So I would suspect it that another expansion is possible.

Wild Run came out of nowhere last year, so that is entirely possible. We'll see soon enough, June is coming up fast!

Oh yea I just went on their website and saw it. If it's another big update I hope it's customization related. I wanna change the color of my rims on my cars.:)
