I said I'd post an entry, and I interpreted the theme at its most raw - a simple livery from the 80s, with eye-gouging colours and sponsors appropriate to the 80s - applying the concept to a fictional BTCC car hurled back in time. That includes the very 80s multi-spoke BBS wheels.
Despite all that, there are at least three different jokes on the car, one of which is a lot more obvious than the others

About as close to last minute as possible... my entry is a Mobil-backed Super GT Nissan GT-R GT500, with full retro-style livery based on the classic Nissan and Mobil colours, with hints of BRE-Datsun and Advan livery influences. Although after seeing @tomoca_1 attempt I feel this is just filling a low rank!FINAL ENTRY
