Some math: Say that the average track in GT5 has 5 sectors. After each sector you get your time displayed.
And if you have played this game scince launch date, every week with an average of 40 laps per week, you get (roughly) 60 weeks x 40 laps x 5 sectors = 12 000 sector times. Getting a .666 time is a 1/1000 chance, so it could be expected that you have got a .666 time 12 times scince launch.
Some trivia about 666: The number 666 is actually hebrew code for the roman emperor Nero, who didn't really like that new christianity thing going on, and thus it was believed that he was the antichrist. The code has something to do with the position of the letters for Nero in the hebrew alphabet added together, like 6 can be code for ABC (1+2+3=6) etc.

The point is, why always .666 but NEVER .555 or .444 or .777 etc? Also, why did the game creators intentionally make the star on the AMERICAN RACING WHEELS upside down when it's not supposed to be that way? The attention to detail in the game otherwise makes such an oversight seem intentional.

Yes I noticed that too but it pure coincidence, you paused it at .666 but you could have paused it at .555, .444, .222, whatever. About the wheels of the Ferrari they are one of the optionals of the 599 and if you see others Ferraris you will see that the rims have the shape of a "star" so the Ferrari designers may be thought about a re-styling of the rims, and about the american wheels, have to look at them so then I tell you . In GT there other cars have 666 like the Enzo and the GT500 cars, again just coincidence.

GT5 didn't force Ferrari to have a star design on their rims. It's just a nice looking design and it's functional. It's called a STAR not a PENTAGRAM. You obviously watch too many cheesy B horror movies. Who cares if there actually WAS some kind of demonic conspiracy to create GT5? (cause that sounds REALLY sane since it's all fictional). Satan finally did something good with his free time. Yay. It's a good game. My hat's off to he who walks behind the rows. I will personally tune all 1200 of my cars to have 666 horsepower tonight and see if old scratch shows up so I can thank him. The ONE place I think I won't have to hear religious nonsense is in here with GT fans and playing GT5 and now it's poison has to even contaminate this place. Thanks a lot. Next, I guess you'll say if you play the GT5 intro backwards it tells you to worship the devil.

As I recall, a maxed BTR with a freshly rebuilt engine is also 666hp and I didn't see it mentioned in this particular thread, Holden has a yellow (go figure) chip called Devil.

I think they are familiar with 666. One of the rock songs in this game says you can't be the 666. It seems consistent that alot of the powerful people are link with the 666 power. Just research illuminati on youtube.

Erm, first of all, it is contentious (and an issue of translation) as to whether John the Apostle saw the number 666 or 616. Secondly, almost the entire book of Revelation was the biblical equivalent of a stoner nightmare (which is why it almost didn't get in at the council of Trent in the 1500's). In the context of what's core to the Bible's teaching, and indeed, Jesus' teaching, it really is not much more than an interesting read. The various portents and prophecies in there are either too vague, or too fantastic to be viewed as anything but.
